Liverpool Receives A Deadline Day Update As Marc Guehi’s Transfer Position Is Confirmed.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Marc Guehi, who has been linked with Liverpool, will stay with the Eagles.
Guehi, who has attracted interest from Liverpool and Newcastle United throughout the summer, has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most promising centre-backs.
Guehi’s strong performances for Palace earned him a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024, where he played in all but one match as England reached the final before losing 2-1 to Spain.
Last month, Palace valued Guehi at £65 million. Liverpool was not interested in signing Guehi earlier in the transfer window, and there have been no signs of a change in their stance.
Glasner has now confirmed that Guehi will remain at Selhurst Park beyond the transfer deadline on Friday.
“I can confirm Marc Guehi will stay,” he said during Palace’s pre-match press conference before their game against Chelsea on Sunday. “It was never really in doubt. Congratulations to the club and the owner; they never gave in.”
Guehi recently expressed that he is “so relaxed and chilled” about his future.
“If I had a magic wand to sort everything out instantly, I would, but I don’t,” he told BBC Football Focus.
“You can’t control any external noise. I just focus on my football and giving my best. I want to play as long as possible. If I could play until I’m 40, great. I’ve stopped trying to figure out where I’ll end up [in my career] because you can get too caught up in those things. I’ve had a few goals that didn’t work out, thinking I should be at a certain place by now. That’s a bit too presumptuous. Everyone has their own journey.”
