Remember Merson gets paid to talk this nonsense. As for the disallowed goal the last player to touch the ball was offside. Presumably Merson thinks it shouldn't be offside if he didn't mean to touch it. The other one was a clear offside – player error, he could see the line and went early – unforgivable. Also total nonsense about him now having his choices. The team was his team last season. He will be gone by Xmas, hasn't sorted the player power or that they are all lazy getting back to win the long ball.

Everyone's worried about EtH. I find that hilarious. The man got us a trophy in one of the worst seasons I've ever witnessed at this club navigating 60+ injuries and 30+ different defensive combinations. Give him an ideal season and he'll get us into Top 4 and at least one trophy or two finals. Right manager. Right time. Pundits should worry about the new managers at clubs like Chelsea, Brighton, Palace, and Liverpool.
