That save was nothing special. The header was poor, practically straight at the keeper
That is how you shut up the debate….
It was a good save, but "amazing" and "wonder save"? Give it a rest ffs. The shot was straight at him. Most keepers with good reflexes would've saved that. Why are people so desperate to label anything half-decent as "world class"? It's ridiculous. The threshold for world class has certainly been lowered over the past 20 years.
Raya is far much better than Ramsdale.
Those who listened to the station this time last year may remember that Darren Bent spent about two weeks insisting that there was no way Raya would take Ramsdale's place in the side and that he would sit on the bench all season! π
If you play that exact scenario 100 times with other premier league keepers – Iβd say about 95 of them go in the goal. Ultimately, donβt pick apart the header, just give Raya the props he deserves
Will always trust artetas signings. Raya rice trossard havertz have all been class
πππ what save Watkins had the two sides of the goal and headed right to Raya and even missed a point blank empty net arsenal got dam luckey
Honestly, I think the save is being overrated. It's a simple reflex save, it's a good save, but that's what he's there to do. It's not like he kept one out of the top corner or something. It's a good save, an important save but when I first saw it, the commentator called it a "world class save", which is poor commentary in my opinion. Commentators shouldn't be making fallacious statements like that. It wasn't a world class save, any decent keeper would be making that save. Any time a keeper makes a fairly standard save, the commentators are often saying "great save!" when it wasn't a great save, just a normal save they should be making. They don't know what they're talking about.
2:16 Shes thinking to herself "Who tf is Wiltord?"
Ok nothings great anymore it what they train for its standard, doesnβt Ollie Watkins train to score goals missed a sitter and got denied by rayas quick reactions so stop playing down arsenal and give credit where itβs due and criticism where itβs needed
Great show guys.
they say we were lucky but everyone was doing their job as part of the team
I'm wondering how saving a shot straight at him is considered a "wonder save". He didn't have to move his feet!!
Itβs game rust he didnβt have a lot of game time for England and had no preseason game time
So I guess weβre done with the Ramsdale debate and Arteta was proven right again ? π€·ββοΈ
She's talking utter b0ll0x.. Raya didn't have to dive to his left to save Watkins header…. he was on his knees and the header was right at him… Jesus wept!! It's a good save, but not great.. he's trained every day to be that reactionary…
Its not a wonder save if anything its really bad from Watkins not to score there also neto yesterday made a way better save than Raya's
The header was at him, more of a shocking miss.
He did well getting to his feet, that's it.
I'd be more critical of Watkins, he missed 2 sitte4s.but lets ignore that.
I don't see why that is great save.
