Honestly, I wish they had moved Fleury.
It'll be interesting to see what Guerin does with Rossi. Once the Beniers contract was revealed I said "uh-oh".
I see this going 2 ways. Guerin trades Rossi for a 1st rounder. Guerin signs Rossi on a 2 or 3 year bridge deal around $5M-ish per. Remember, this is Bill Guerin we are talking about so all bets are off. I really hope Rossi isn't traded.
Kind of like Boldy previously, sign him maybe for a little less money, offering term security. If this becomes difficult, then you have a solid asset to use to fill in needs. Khusnutdinov / Heidt / Ek / Trenin all are centers. Add in Hartman, Freddy who have played the center position and I would offer something fair and see what the Rossi camp says. Preferably we all want Rossi long term, but as always, it does come down to a fair landing point for both parties.
Going into year six and no playoff series wins. Billy would be fired most places.
They'll sign a 2-3 year contract with Marco. Just looking at stats on different teams with different roles at different team skill levels…….is a fools game. I get the feeling that Rossi isn't a prototypical Guerin type player…….so, I feel he'll tread lightly with Marco's extension.
Rossi bridge deal incoming. Just don’t want to see him get traded for an older player. When Rossi hits his ceiling I want him to be in a Wild jersey. Personally I’d love to see them go 7 -8 year with him. He’s going to keep improving of that I have no doubt.
Guys! On the Diamond Sports deal, the judge has to also find an equitable solution for the lenders too! It's NOT JUST a binary solution that's being negotiated. There are 3+ parties that the Judge has to satisfy……and Diamond is third or lower on that list.
Guys, it’s time to admit that Guerin is in over his head. He runs the Wild like his own personal pet project. Not what’s best for the team or the fans.

The issue I think with the TV deals is That the teams dont try to work things like they are in the Minors where the broadcast is done via Radio commentary and streamed on a service like Flo or in the case of the AHL, on a streaming platform owned and ran by the league itself. Also the idea where you broadcast games to local stations within the already serviced area, Sell ads from local companies, it's pretty simple to figure out.
Know this, if negotiations linger and Rossi plays hardball and this goes to ARB, Rossi will not be resigned in MN in 2026. Not a snowball's chance in hell.
