He's the ultimate chaos sub. Martinelli has his place running a team ragged with pace, Trossard's technical ability talent advantage of that
Martineli must learn and sit on the bench… He need improve decision making.
I believe that he needs to go out on loan in La Liga or German league and even the French league or the club must sign new winger such as a Nico or PSG Korean winger who can play both sides or Takefuso Kubo would be upgrade but I would like Diego Jota from would be perfect as well
Why are we forgetting that Martinelli’s pace and work rate helps us exhaust the opposition RB and help our LB catch the pacy opposition wingers. Trossard doesn’t have that. Trossard has that finishing and skills to take up an exhausted back line.
I trust Arteta's decision to start Trossard off the bench… Arteta is in the better position to call the shots, as a fan I trust Arteta's judgement 💯💯
There is an element of luck. Should Havertz have scored the great pass Martinelli gave him, all conversation would be different.

Trossard should start. And no we don't need another left winger…we need another right winger…. Trossard, Martinelli, Nelson in that order on the left.

I want at least 5 consecutive games Arteta starting Trossard.
A simpler conclusion to arrive at after contrasting martinelli and trossard performances is not that martinelli does not get enough suooort which is strictly not true but that he is simply not as good a player as trossard and indeed at this point is barely good enough as a winger to keep a spot on the team. Arteta insists on playing the “profile” that martinelli represents and at this point that profile is speed, to keep the opposition occupied. Well there are a lot of wingers who are just as fast and also create chances take shots from distance, interchange with team mates.

like in the wolves game I reckon we should still start martinelli on the left on around the hour mark sub trossard LW as usual but rest saka and put martinelli on the right.Since he’s right footed he could just look to take on his man and get it into the box(where trossard works his magic🤷🏾♂️).Just my opinion anyway
Let's look at last year stats and see how many times he had started and performed well. IMO, he usually doesn't do well when starting. Only occasionally that he is ok.
We have seen trossard start, not the same as coming on as a sub. Martinelli works the defenders for trossard to come in for the kill. They are a tagteam combo.
Martinelli needs the support from someone who can constantly give him accurate through passes behind enemy lines. Rice can't do that as well as Xhaka did. Probably why he hasn't performed well since Xhaka left. Let's hope Merino will reactivate him. Rice really should focus on defence and interceptions. He's not suitable as a full-time number eight IMO.
I think Martinelli is dribbling too much 1v1 but still remains one of the best off ball defenders in our attacking group. I trust both players to have impacts throughout the season, I think Arteta will manage their abilities well depending on who we are playing. I would love to see a 60/30 split for them with varied starts for the man more in form or more appropriate for that opponent
