      I was very satisfied with the performance. Very level-headed performances. Solid at the back and prolific infront of the goal. We are so such better with Azmoun and Taremi upfront. Great partnership. Jahanbakhsh is finally raising his play for Teammelli. I like how also domestic players get their chance under Skocic. It's important to keep the balance between legionnaires and domestic/Middle East based players. Squad building is very underrated imo.

      I feel like this was the best our team has looked in a very long time. Jahanbakhsh is the perfect captain in my opinion as he is extremely calm and doesn't start fights. This basically ensures our team keeps level head and doesn't start fights as they usually do against Iraq.
      I don't know what skocic is doing but somehow all the players are playing near their peak.
      They all seem very happy and in a good mood too.

      I think the biggest surprise of 2021 is how good of a coach Skocic has been so far on the pitch with results and off the pitch with the relationship he’s built…..dare I say I like him more than Quieroz 🤐

      I have been watching team melli since the 90s and I have to say from a talent standpoint this may be our best team ever. I'm not just basing this on our recent results but from a whole team perspective. look at the old days. Our backline was horrible. We had weak midfielders up until Nekounam and karimi came. Even our star forwards like daei and those guys…although very efficient, were not as talented. 90% of our attack used to come from one side of the field. We would never even switch field. Our defenders would send long balls and pray that something good happens. But this team is loaded with players who can do a little of everything. Even our forwards are good passers. I will get heat for this but I'm sorry I'm taking Taremi over Daei all day!!! Taremi is the best forward we have ever had in my opinion..even better than sardar who is great too. This team values ball possession more, they switch field and change point of attack, taremi and sardar together put so much pressure on defenses, their backline is solid, their substitutes are solid and experienced, goalkeeper is solid. Loving this team guys!!!!
