  1. My god the stupidity of the referring in the English game is getting worse each year…since VAR was introduce it’s become more silly and the refs have just become more dumber….how joelinton got an yellow is beyond me…and the disallowed goal is just the icing on the cake lol

  2. Bournemouth absolutely shafted there disgraceful decision to disallow the goal absolutely nothing wrong with it then a yellow for close lining someone and a red for rightly venting frustration at the ref

  3. Sorry but that clearly hit his arm and that's why it was disallowed. I agree he probably couldn't have helped it but you can't score if the ball touches your arm/hand.

  4. Iraloa's reason why the goal should have been given, was rather pathetic, having said that, it was never handball.

Joelinton should have been sent off.

I am also wondering how long Howe has left at Newcastle.

The next England Manager? Give me a break.

The only way he would get the job is because the EFA do love a Yes Man and Howe is perfect for that.

  5. VAR got that decision horribly wrong 😑 it doesn’t it his hand it hits the shoulder it’s never hand ball and the challenge on Neto the Newcastle player has got Neto around the neck and he gets a yellow card it should be a red card this referee is disgrace 😡

  6. What Kind Of Abysmal Refereeing and Officiating was this?? The Goal Shouldve stood, that is in no way shape or form a handball!! and the challenge should've been a red, you cannot wrap your arm around someones neck and pull them down and get away with it!!

  7. Toon will continue to win nowt if they keep on letting these late goals in. Let off the hook today but did it far too much last season. Come on Eddie sort this out and lets get it in the net up the other end late on instead. FELT NOWT!

  8. The replay of the disallowed goal doesn't look conclusive to me – you can't say for sure where the ball hits either the defender or the forward. They should have stuck with the original on-field decision.

  9. Not a Bournemouth fan… looking closely at that replay for the disallowed goal and sure enough it hits his arm… but maybe it would have hit his head if the defender hadn't just thrown himself at the Bournemouth player. No attempt to play the ball. If no goal… then perhaps should have been a penalty??

  10. So many people criticising the ref here, but the ref GAVE the goal at the end. It was the VAR that disallowed it, and the process didn't give the ref the chance for another look. Yes, perhaps he should have sent Joelinton off, but again he probably got one look at it, not necessarily from a good angle. it was the VAR who could have looked at it several times from the best angle and recommended the ref review it.
