  1. Never had anything to do with Motta. All about the benjamins. Juve strong armed Weston into taking a pay cut last season with the promise that he'd get his contracted wages this year. They bogarted on that and stiffed him again this summer. Weston is smart enough to know that in a couple years with him playing like he is he can write his own ticket and screw these cheap bastids.

And Thiago Motta is smart enough to know that with Juve playing in more competitions they're absolutely going to need what Wes brings!

  2. Colombia loaded up with players who were not in Top-5 leagues had annihilated the US. Going to a good MLS team, like Cincy, would not have hurt McKennie. However, good on him for betting on himself, as the reports stated he extended on the same salary.

  3. wow! as a long time Juve and serie a fan, just wow. this guy knows as much about Weston and Ju as a door nob. mckenny is an average player who shined last season due to a very dim juve performance. nobody significant came knocking for him except villa cause he is a bang average midtable team type of player. even the Cincinnati proposal came about not cos "they were pushing the envelop" for a top quality talent as this "expert" put it but because they sensed a lack of interest from Europe so they wanted to test the waters. also he is by no means underpaid.

  4. This guy doesn't know squat!
Juventus asked him to sign a contract extension for the same money; McKennie wanted a raise and said no; Juventus said no to that and put him on the market. McKennie realized that NOBODY would give him the money that he wanted and that nobody really wanted him so he accepted Juventus conditions. The end.

  5. I mean McKinney makes 1.5 mil Dusan Vlahovic who isn’t considered elite makes the most in Serie A by a wide Margin at 19.7 million a season and McKinne just wanted a pay raise after the good season he had again, it’s critical in my eyes from the board bc your pinching Pennies with him but turn around and look at mother high earners who don’t produce and say yeah your fine

  6. As long as McKennie stays away from the Premier League, I’m sure he can have a decent career.
A solid player but he’s already proven he cannot hang at that level.

  7. ESPN should stay clear of things they don't understand. Mckennie is NOT underpaid you fool Herc. You can argue he is actually overpaid being a signing of the Fabio Paratici era, who is infamous for paying silly salaries during his discredited era in charge of Juve transfers. Mckennie is paid better at Juve than Aston Villa thought he was worth paying! Why do you think that deal collapsed? Because they weren't prepared to offer him the same wages Juve pay him. 🤦

  8. Let’s just agree that Juve are some cheap and un loyal witches. They expect players to be loyal, but not ownership. Get out of here. Weston you do you!

  9. If strengthening the USMNT is not MLS's responsibility, then I don't want to hear the argument that the USMNT need MLS to be a strong domestic league. Done. Finished.

  10. McKennie is an average player. As a Juve Fan for over 25years he is nothing special just a normal player who had a good season as a RWB in a 3-5-2 not as a CM. Trust me Motta likes technical midfielders & whatever he said about him is just PR. At best he will use him as a deputy RB or 6th choice option in midfield. He is not playing much. Come to this comment in may 2025.
