    Sergiño Dest would provide good competition for the starting RB position with Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka – arguably making that spot his own should he sign. With the imminent announcement of Antony, Dest and Antony could prove to be a dangerous attacking duo on the right-hand side of the pitch. With Sancho looking more assured and confident on the left, Malacia
    has hit the ground running so United need to ensure the right-hand side is also up to scratch.

    Dest is a versatile right back who has played on both flanks and wing back for Barca. He possesses speed in abundance in addition to having strong dribbling ability – he loves to get forward! He is still 21 years old and has played in the Champions League for Ajax and Barcelona.

    Very direct and likes to take on opposition up the line terrorising full backs with his superb dribbling, out of favour at Barcelona.

    In all competitions last season (21/22) he averaged over 65 mins from 31 appearances, contributing no goals but 3 assists, which all came in La Liga.

    Overall, he has made 72 appearances for Barcelona with 8 goal contributions (3 goals, 5 assists) so far…

      I know who he is but I honestly don’t know much about him or his abilities.
      From what others here are saying, seems to be he’s good when in possession but questionable defensively.
      Maybe a loan move would be more suited to see how he adapts to both our squad and league?

      Dest is a good player. Only weakness is he can be caught out of position so the adjustments by Varane and Casemiro would be vital but achievable. The back line height would be a tremendous topic with 3 of the 4 coming in under 5'10

      I would absolutely love this as an American Manchester United fan. Dest is actually really good and it's criminal how he's not getting played at Barca. I think he'd be a great option to push dalot for his place this season.

      Funny how you’ve exposed Knighton for the circus show he is. We need serious people to get the glazers out. Knighton is not acting like a rich person, but suits more of a delusional character

      Rather keep who we have and maybe bring Laird back in January depending on his form.if not then give him a chance in first team next season. He’s strong quick can cross has the potential to be a brilliant fullback. Needs games like he’s getting and then to take his chance(if he gets it) at United would save money and he would be in the team for many years with him being 21/22

      He played as RW for more than 10-15 games. That's why data is showing him very good progressively. Defensively, i hadn't seen a RB worse than Dest.

      I dont think dest would be a success.
      Great at passing and carrying the Ball yes but defensively more than suspect especially in the air.
      As well as really lacking physicallity and sometimes also seemingly defensive disciplin

      People complain about Dest not being good enough at defending, but you don't hear they say the same about Trent, even if Dest is better at defending than Trent.

      Dest is for sure not worse than Dalot at defending.
      I think Dest is slightly better than Dalot at defending, even if Dalot did well in our two last games.
      Dest is very much better than Dalot going forward.

      I think that Dest in many ways is very similar to Trent even if Trent is a better player than Dest at the moment.
      Not very good at defending, but very good at attacking.
      I totally prefer Dest over Dalot and I very much hope we will sign him.

      He's the spitting image of Mason Greenwood…… I miss Mason. I honestly think he could have been one of the best players in the world at some point.

      I think Dalot deserves a chance this season, he's been highly rated as a youngster and I think the atmosphere around the club hasn't helped at that critical stage in his career. With ETH hopefully settling things down and actually coaching him I think he could step up this season. His Deliveries from the edge of the box have been dangerous.

      Saying that, if we can loan Wan Bissaka out and loan Dest in to compete with Dalot, that's a great move to end the window

      Thought you were trolling but you are tryna be serieus , Dest doesn't Defend , was benched by TEN HAG at ajax and is now unwanted at Barca but if you're going for a Spot in the Second League then Dest will get your there .

      I hoesntly don’t like sancho on the left to the left should be more aggressive to many times I think sancho slows the play down for no reason he even picks the ball up almost always at a stand still never in motion he still does beat players as much as I’d like and he’s really not that fast he’s def a player that needs the teams to work with him

      I like Dest, he's a baller. You could use him like how City uses there fullbacks, he could be that playmaker and ball progressor

      Can you do regular updates, stats, progress on our Loaned players this season? Laird and Diallo etc. I would tune in to see how they are doing regularly. So gutted if Garner leaves as his loan was great last season. .
