Pulling apart Tottenham’s draw at Leicester City as they opened their Premier League season.

  1. This is such a stock Spurs fan narrative… jeez. I'd be much more worried about the season ahead if I was a Foxes fan. But I'm a Spurs fan and I'm gonna have a great season tyvm

  2. Postecoglou wants players to be brave, but he has to be brave too, by picking youngsters to start who deserve it and leaving older experienced players who don’t.

  3. Love to watch the match! Hm, ofc I wouldn't like to lose every match like the end of last season, but…, waaaay more fun to watch and follow this rebuild compared to Mou- or Conteball. Urgh!

I'm good with watching this! 😉

  4. This one game had everything that a whole Spurs season has. Optimism, loads of chances, panic, stupid mistakes, injuries to key people, holding on for as long as possible and then failing.

  5. Mikey moore should never go on loan. Foden didnt go on loan. Yamal doesnt go on loan. Mikey moore had the potential to be as good as them he has to play more first team football

  6. I love Son to bits , but i think it's time for the starting him on the bench trick , that worked so well last time , when he came off the bench and scored a brilliant hat trick in a 6-2 win , ironically against Leicester .

  7. Not sure why it would be a bad look for Bissouma next game considering that Bentancur and Romero started the first game of the season after their summer shenanigans.

Its not like Spurs care about how things look, at least not anymore.

  8. I’m not sure why I am still a Spurs fan. American boy here, been a fan since 2011 and have been bewildered for almost all of the 14 years. I have such hopes for the team but it always seems to be wasted. Very excited about the youth and I am trying to give Ange the time to rebuild the team. No excuses for a tie to LC.

  9. Thanks ali ! Disappointed with result very familiar to last year which worries me slightly. I'm beginning to get frustrated at johnson he has a poor preseason against some poor opposition. And today not one dribble very disappointing!

  10. Hi Alisdair I was at work Tuesday AM had to listen to radio commentary & first half sounded really exciting the new Spurs I thought 🎉 half time grabbed a coffee & instantly upgraded my Sky package ⚽️ 😁
Second half “Tottenham Hotspurs hey, what a Team” as you say so many times 😮 roll on Saturday please 🙏🏻

  11. I just wish for once we could fast forward to the moment when the likes of Kulu and Brennan are sold and the masses finally realise they are not good enough and the same mob that wax lyrical about them now or threat these players like they are their own offspring, are at the club doors with pitchforks shouting "get them out of my club…"… whilst they are decent players, they are not top 4 material let alone going to help us make creditable challenges for titles….. it appears like Ange has seriously invested in Brennan and looks to me like this was a key signing for Ange that he wants to be successful, because he keeps getting game time when to be frank he is very very poor most of the time and to be honest, looks out of his depth.. people cite his defensive contributions etc. I don't care about that, this is not the primary attribute he was bought for… I didn't hire the plumber because is great at mowing the lawn…..same for Solanke don't want to know about his other contributions whilst he is not scoring goals….do your job

but needless to say it will be another 18 months or more debate amongst some (sadly a large portion of) fans who just need longer to process and accept certain players are simply not good enough.. like we have done with PEH, Skipp, Lo Celso…. you can go on and on…. look how many years it took to move Skipp on… frankly embarrassing, this epitomizes the club and fan culture …

I watched an interview on ESPN with Frank Leboeuf after the game on Monday and he actually made a really valid point… there is no real pressure at our club to perform and achieve when compared with the other "big" clubs and thats a cultural thing, the board, the fans etc. too soft… he is spot on… average is good enough on the football pitch as long we are in the mix… I have to continually remind myself Tottenham Hotspur is now a trading/ investment firm…. not a football club

    peace, love and cotton wool

  12. 500 plus comments already, so I appreciate this probably won’t be seen but if it somehow is….. can Ange be asked/told that teams can win 1-0. All this we need to score the 2nd goal to win nonsense. Yes we could have been out of sight after 60 minutes but we wasn’t. If we want to have a decent season they have to be able to keep a poxy clean sheet.

  13. Honest Q Ali, did you really expect anything else? I've been commenting on your vids every week about how nothing has changed at this club, in terms of tactics and lack of transfer ambition, and low and behold we were predictably Spursy. I'll ask again, what as changed?

As for Johnson, how anyone condones a player who's that bad amazes me. A winger who's scared to run into the space… wow.

Oh well, first half was good ish and Bergvall looks ready.

  14. Everyone going on about the fan response to “the first game”. The negativity is absolutely justified. We have a great team that consistently underperforms. If we want to improve we need to demand better…that’s part of being a supporter

  15. Gotta disagree about the Vicario reaction. Yes we all love the intensity and yes we’re all familiar with good old talking tos/reality checks etc. but that was completely uncalled for. Bergvall was on his debut and seems to be a serious young man who takes things to heart. We need players displaying better brands of leadership on field
