Very composed on the ball. His reverse pass with his left leg is, to borrow from Pythagoras, Anti-Wan Bissaka.
His deficiency in 1v1 or rather Dalot's superiority in that aspect was probably what prompted Ten Hag to use him as RB and Dalot as LB. Because Adama looks like the kind of player that would have given him a torrid time.

dalot is really good when he is attacking. dalot's overlapping,underlapping and inverting in midfield runs are sharp enough to harm opponents.

Let's give Mazraoui his accolades without disrespecting Wan Bissaka
What Mazaroui sounds like is the perfect defensive midfielder. He seems to possess all the attributes necessary for a 6.
His positional awareness is good. His long passing and press resistance is standout. He is relatively quick enough to cover ground over shorter distances. He is good at reading and intercepting the play. He is 2 footed and decent in the air.
Meanwhile his crossing is not the best, his 1v1 defending isnt great. He lacks physicality. He is not exactly a goal threat.
All of this indicates that he might excel as a defensive midfielder. Maybe when Shaw comes back, we could use him as a sole 6.
