What do you think, did Lukaku flop at United?
United fan here, his tenure at us is so underrated and underappreciated
I personally always liked him
I think Lukaku was not a flop
Lukaku was actually good for united
He was good for us a lot of the time, but I think if he kept up with his fitness like at Everton he would have worked out
He was great not a flop
He wasnt worth the 75m tag was kinda lazy in terms of work rate and really didnt do anything in terms of buildup in most games
He had a surprisingly decent cross on him that was kinda it
Think his sale was abit suprising but i wish that worse players were sold as fast as romelu
Lukaku, Very average player could’ve done better, but I think he tried so hard😐
He was up and down
Like a few game good
A few game terrible
I liked Lukaku so much never wanted him to leave. He’s one of my favourite footballers. It’s a shame he didn’t stay longer at Utd.
Flat out incorrect. What more do you want? Take that rate of 89 games 42 goals, you’re getting a goal every 3 games, almost every two games. You can’t ask much more for a 75M buy
I personally don't think Lukaku was a flop, but I feel as though his price tag was a big reason why many thought he was a flop
Imagine if he didn’t flop
He was better at United than Ibra was
Nobody thinks he's a flop just didn't reach potential and missed sitters when needed most
He was brought in to score more than every other game that was the issue. At the time 75m on a striker was 150m now
42 goals in 89 appearances ain't a bad return, but it just didn't fully work out for him and for United, I as a United fan wouldn't call him a flop.
He disappeared in the important games and had really long goalless streaks. He didn’t seem capable of improving and his attitude worsened as his goals dried up. Wasn’t suited to the demands of the club
Shit 😂🎉😢😮😅😊❤
He had a 100 days goal drought
Ultimately Solskjaer didn't know how to use him
United really hated on Lukaku for putting on muscle? 💀 now they got a buff Norwegian dropping hat tricks left and right against them
Mate 42 in 89 isn’t exactly great for a striker that costed 75 mil. I agree he wasn’t AS bad as people made him and continue to make him out to be however he was definitely still a flop.
Mourinho’s mistake thinking he was the next drogba
He and Pogba was not flops
How did he flop? He rarely missed sitters, he scored against big teams, helped us get 2nd place, Became top scorer?
I don't think he flopped but…..despite the stats he wasent that great. Whenever I used to watched him I never felt confident with him up front. But not a flop no. Just not that great would be my way to describe his time at OT
For a ST like him at his prime, he should be scoring at least 60 goals in 89 appearances
Lazy
Lukaku is not underrated he is underhated
Lukaku banged for United, should have never left imo.
Greenwood was bound to take over from him, it's like Marcus Rashford right now. Alejandro Garnacho will usurp Marcus Rashford. Amad Diallo also has peaked which leaves Marcus Rashford head on the swivel. That's what Lukaku was working with in the end Anthony Martial took his spot but Manchester United didn't do right Anthony Martial with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo not giving him a chance to shine.
Can't Hannibal Mejbri play in the DM role that's Ugarte's role. Work with Casemiro.
Would love him back at everton
Lakaka
Lukaku was good for us but he wasnt worth the money, we needed world class but he really was a step below
Well was good at the old Trafford a good talent but not now he's lukaka
Manager didn’t fancy him, not in the best united team, more was played on wing. Wasn’t a flop like DI Maria but just was a issue on player at club at wrong time. Tbh also with Di Maria will back him on problem that he only left real for Bale in with he didn’t deserve but it’s case of business, fair to say aside outside problems and van gal he did get wronged by Real Madrid
