A five-star showing from Burnley saw Scott Parker’s side seal a second consecutive win in the Sky Bet Championship following the 5-0 victory over Cardiff City on Saturday.

The Clarets were gifted an early opener as Ethan Horvath mistimed a pass-back and saw the ball hit the back of his own net, before the home side added a second through Luca Koleosho’s strike.

Five minutes into the second-half, Burnley had their third of the afternoon when Josh Brownhill latched onto a ball through the City defence and slotted home past Horvath.

Substitute Zeki Amdouni then smashed in a fourth from range with two minutes left, before another substitute in Johann Berg Gudmundsson finished the scoring off with a fifth in stoppage time.

Parker named two changes from Monday night’s win at Kenilworth Road as Vaclav Hladký replaced James Trafford between the sticks, who missed out through illness.

Meanwhile, Jay Rodriguez was named in the XI coming in for Wilson Odobert, who joined Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.

  1. Excellent Goal From Luca Koleosho, Josh Brownhill, Gudmundssson & Zeki Amdouni. Burnley FC Winners Against Cardiff City In The Turf Moor Stadium Score By 5-0.

  2. The feel-good factor is back, it's amazing what a bit of confidence does for the players, Zeki probably wouldn't have tried that last season. I hope we can keep him and Luca. I think we can only get better once the window is closed and we know who we've got and can build a solid matchday squad. Not getting carried away but the signs are good UTC

  3. Thought Jay rod was brilliant on and off the ball. A lot of selfless running taking players out of the game. Pleased for him UTC

  4. Weird to say after winning 5-0 but for long periods we were second best. I'll be more convinced by Parker if we get a result at Sunderland…
