Pepe (Kepler Laveran Lima Ferreira) has just retired from football (August 2024), after representing Portugal in EURO 2024 at 41 years old, and being the oldest player to play in a EUROs ever.
Known as one of the most aggressive and feared defenders, often alongside Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos. He had acquired a total of 17 red cards and 210 yellow cards during his club and international career.
He has played 878 matches in his career for Maritimo, Porto, Real Madrid, Besiktas, and Portugal; winning 34 total trophies along the way.
With Portugal he helped win their first major trophy in the 2016 EUROs as man of the match in the final game vs France. He was also named to 3 EURO team of the tournaments (2008, 2012, and 2016).
For club he most notably played for 10 years at Real Madrid with many achievements, including winning 3 Champions Leagues titles and being a big part of some of the best El Clásicos.
