He is a homegrown firstly.. and a Left footed back up for Laporte if Laporte not available. And he is versatile like he could use as a Left back if a need. and He had enough experience in premiere league and still young (25). only problem I can see is he is not tall and not big winner of areal duals. but he is strong in ground plays and a good hard worker.

Ake is definitely good enough but it’s weird to but having two lefties is almost unseen. I’m sure he could do it though. If Arsenal didn’t have Pablo Mari, I’d take Ake.

I think he will do a job for City, he's still a decent defender, moving to a top team may actually improve him, I mean look at van dijk, he was already a good defender but elevated himself when he went to Liverpool

Thats rubbish fro Steve Nichol. La porte is one of the best CH's in Europe, John Stones was a brilliant English prospect but for whatever reason went backwards and Otamendi has had 2-3 brilliant seasons for City but time has caught up with him.
His an okay player. But paying the dude 40mil is outrageous. Robertson from liverpool didnt cost him that an much an he was a relegated hull side.
