All Great UG Goalkeepers
And if you can mold them into one prototype to train young US Goalkeepers, YOU SHOULD.
Christian Pulisic can shine, but it depends on what you mean by Shine.
If by shine you mean, help the USMNT Win more games than without him, where we can credit him for lets say reaching the Semifinals of the World Cup, YES HE CAN, but you to get Real about it.
We're still hearing from many influential Soccer Professional, most of whom are Respectable, BAD IDEAS, such as.. Put my player in the USMNT Roster and make him score the winning goal, then I'll say you're a good Coach.
This kind of thinking is not helpful in any situation, any business, any sport, actually this selfishness or closemindedness is one the fastest Paths to FAILURE.
We have to let the Coach work even when he/she makes unpopular decisions, and Judge only on the basis of the Results.
I still hear some voices not wanting to give up on criticizing Emma, which is totally nonsensical. We FANS don't watch US Soccer to see 1 Players, we watch all 11 Players the entire team and we always deal with the facts of the stats and the scoreboard.
Professional Soccer Professors need to focus on the Stats and the Scoreboard to justify their opinions, otherwise you know in the Market of ideas I can get 100 opinions for a Penny, + the worst 1000 players for free.
These Soccer Influencers need to respect the intelligence of US FANS more, and then some.
I dont follow MLS too closely so someone enlighten me – is the keeper for Miami not good enough for national team material? He always looked good on the few occasions Ive seen Miami, but my exposure is limited. Is he too small, not skilled or experienced enough? Am I high?
Pulisic is one player but he’s not world class. He’s a very good player who plays at s decent level, but Milan are not the powerhouse they once were. They did finish second in Serie A qualifying for the UCL, but its the first time in seven years. Chelsea obviously let him go for a reason because he wasn’t good enough on a consistent enough basis and the Italian league probably suits him better. He’s still easily the best player in the US team, but who replaces him if he’s injured? The drop is considerable and the team is lacking strength in depth. You can judge it by looking at the bench and the bench is weak.
