The only issue with us is we don’t have our star man. We don’t have somebody where in games where we’re not playing great who’s there to step up? City have Haaland, KDB, Foden etc. When Liverpool won the title they had Salah and Mane. I look at our squad and I don’t see anybody. Saka is great and all but he’s not the type of player to single-handedly win you a game. Havertz is a great goal scorer but a very average player overall. I won’t get into Martinelli – very talented but so wasteful as with Jesus. Without that X factor in our team I struggle to see us win the league unless somebody steps up.

They didn’t stutter to bring in Rice who was a huge amount. Why haggle for a £20m player that just won the Euros? Why don’t you pay the £70m for Gyokeres? I don’t see City tethering over a player. They want a player they pay the money for him and there’s a reason why they are on a historical spin of winning titles every season Arsenal are not! That’s the difference!
