Finally a great signing for chelsea
Once again, Chelsea has overvalued players who aren't that great and paid absurd amounts for them. I'd love to work in Chelsea's transfer department because I've been talking about players like Dani Olmo for ages. Now he's gone to Barcelona for a fairly low fee, and he would have been a fantastic signing for Chelsea. I also mentioned Julián Álvarez before he even went to Man City, and now he's heading to Atlético Madrid.
I also pointed out Rafael Leão from Milan when Chelsea decided to loan João Félix. Rafael Leão was nearing the end of his contract at Milan, and Chelsea could have taken advantage, but they didn't. The same goes for Theo Hernández, also from Milan, who was in a similar situation, but instead, Chelsea decided to invest in Cucurella, which, in my opinion, was an absurd signing, paying far more than he was worth.
It seems like Todd Boehly doesn't know what he's doing, signing lots of players on long contracts without ensuring they'll actually succeed at the club. And when these players don't work out, it becomes difficult to sell them.
