I am the biggest City supporter and I am hoping we don't waste any money on this 2 players. Kovacic is a capable backup for Rodri and Savio and OB are excellent wingers who can also play any attacking positions.
Rodrygo probably is even more technical and entertaining than Vinicius but he has a general tendency to open space for himself and shoot. That's not the type of player you would want to pair up with Haaland. He also loves his transitional runs which we rarely do. This was very similar to Grealish at Villa. Can w count on him to adapt and do it better than Grealish? Phillips and Nunes also needed to adapt but they are yet to and don't look on track. But the blue shirt does suit him.

Guimaraes I don’t get at all – nuts and bolts midfielder like Nunes , Kovacic , Philips . 80 m for both and neither is worth the cash . Cover for Haaland has to be a similar type of player . Guardiol is not a LB so need cover there . Need top quality for 80m – de jong or Musiala . Short term Gallagher is reasonably priced , can make up a card game with Nunes , Kova , Philips, Gomez .
