  1. this time next year van dijk will be 34 years old , i get it if you don't want to pay him 300k+ multi year contract and move on, i think its ok to extend 2 years tho

  2. It’s only a distraction if that dope Hughes lets it go into the season. Liverpool should have signed Virg and Trent to extensions as soon as they named them captains

  3. The panelists are blowing the situation out of proportion. The change of manager affected the whole situation. Am sure they have already discussed the issue with the representative of the three players. I expect information to start coming in around October

  4. Watch the goal Sevilla scored…The winger opened up TAA…He is a defensive liability….If he wants to go then sell…If Salah wants to go then sell him…If VVD is happy to run down his contract then OK…Start building with alternatives…

  5. @Shaka how do you no discussions didn't take place? We all should no by now, that LFC keep there buss very discreet. Yes it frustrates the fans because they wana no whats going on but also keeps the media out of the private buss

  6. It is stupid. Now risk losing 1,2 or 3 of arguably our 3 most important players on free transfers which would be ridiculous. You offer a contract earlier and sell if they don't sign. You don't wait until the end and lose huge players for free

  7. The worst thing Liverpool can do now is negate their good work in preseason with sideshows. The team should just be focusing on the start of the season.

  8. No one signed , Liverpools 3 of 4 players are out of contract , its embarrassing and tells that this Hughes guy is a incompetend fraud not Liverpool standard and should be fired asap. Nothing to show for in 3 month of hughes reign

  9. we’ll offer him 300k a week for a 2 year extension most likely and i’d expect him to take it, obviously saudi are about aswell. I think a lot depends on how he plays and how the team plays this season, if he’s not as good we might offer him less money so saudi could be an option or if the team plays bad he might want to leave regardless. If we play well and he’s the best centre back in the league again like last season he’ll extend

  10. it’s not a distraction at all of course it isn’t, it’s not like the manager going or anything and we have a few decent centre backs, the only person it affects this season is himself cus he’ll want to leave on a high if he does leave so if anything he’ll be more motivated than ever. Going into next season it’ll affect the club of course but this season it’s only gonna affect him

  11. Liverpool is not a "well run" club. They've been lucky to win in spite of the "moneyball" tactics from FSG. Jurgen made up for the lack of spending, but now he's gone. It's clear now he could've achieved much more had he the backing that other elite clubs have. Arne was hired with the same purpose of operating with the same budget BS. Now that Jurgen is gone, we'll see if Liverpool is truly "well run."

  12. i dont see whats the poroblem. Letting Mane go was clearly the right thing. VVD and Mo are getting old, you dont give them more than one year contracts at this point. Look what happened to Fab, you never know when their legs will go, all yo know is that it is coming soon.

  13. Why do you think we're the only PL club not to sign anyone yet, FSG !!!!
Their only interest is money because Liverpool are their cash cow for everything else.
