If its yet another ffp issue, and we can't afford to stump the full fee at once, then better not to get Ugbo if it means an embargo for Jan window.
One point to consider is Ugbo has not done a pre season. He will not be fit for the start of the season, or we will end up playing him and him getting a long term injury. So where is this going to leave us?
If there was one player where it's not too bad for him to come in late, it's Ugbo. He's played for us last season and he knows how to play under Danny. So, there's MUCH less of an issue with him coming in late.

Well Punk, as you often say, 'it is what it is'. Danny's response suggests to me that he's set on Ugbo, although I imagine it will end up with us paying over the odds one way or another. Time, as you point out, is now of the essence and Ugbo has already missed out on a pre-season but if that isn't a problem for Danny well so be it. As many pointed out in the chat, there was certainly a big Ugbo shaped hole in our attack in today's game. Thanks for the namecheck btw, the mysterious chicken cap always raises a smile here…😁

For me I would have a cut off point with ugbo now be like ok you have until Wednesday to accept what we offer or were go for plan b. As much as he did well for us last season I've said it before his record is not that great he only hit double figgers twice in his carrier and for the price of him. I think with Dr and his team having a big circle they can use for contacts I would go else where . We need a striker to hit 20 plus goals we not had one for years now.
