The HYBRID of Barcelona and Bayern that HANSI FLICK Construct is WILD 🤯

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona is not what we all thought it is!

The Catalans have already delivered two top-level games against Man City and Real Madrid, in which they managed to surprise and impress absolutely everyone!

Flick’s Barça vision is some kind of INCREDIBLE HYBRID OF FLICK’S FOOTBALL and traditional local football, which has been successfully developed in the capital of Catalonia since the days of the legendary Johan Cruyff!

We don’t want to get cules too excited, but the football that the German top manager is cooking at Blaugrana feels like an absolute REVOLUTION in world football and we’ll explain why!

Among other things, the clash versus Manchester City demonstrated an impressive pressing display – at that time, Hansi had been in charge of the team for less than a month, but it seemed that the players had been playing under Flick’s guidance for at least 3 years! Moreover – during the tie against Pep Guardiola and his team – the renewed Barça showed the ability to combine traditional tiki-taka and Hans-Dieter’s directness – 16 passes and the ball lands in the net after Pablo Torre’s shot! And then there was the high-speed verticality – a couple of passes, tactically competent positioning of footballers, and the whole Barça squad is already at the opponent’s goal! Even when Lewandowski missed his chance to score, Pau Victor was accurate enough in a similar attack!

The encounter versus Real Madrid added even more optimism to Barcelona supporters who saw an EVEN BETTER display from their team!

Again, a goal came after a long attack with the ball being transitioned from one wing to another- now it required a little less passing, but it was still 12 passes and the first goal against Real Madrid turned out to be quite impressive! Bravo!

You must admit that Barcelona’s style of play is very similar to Hansi Flick’s Bayern Munich, but with a touch of Catalan technique and charm! A crazy mixture!

Interestingly enough, this particular attack highlights such game aspects as Barcelona’s ability to “overload” the space in front of and within the box. Flick’s Blaugrana knows how to put pressure on their opponents – be it Man City, Real Madrid, or any other team!

Well, there was another moment during El Clasico, after which everyone will look at Barca quite differently! In this attack, for instance, there were 24 passes and one may find it hard to disagree with the Barça blogger Anabella, who wrote the following:

‘Hansi flick ball is so beautiful to watch. The ball moves from the defense to the midfield and then carried by the fullbacks to the attack. They broke down Madrid so easily’.

This match also revealed Barcelona’s latest trump card – the use of Pau Victor, a nominal center forward at the right winger position – when attacking, he often shifted to the centre, giving Lewandowski freedom, and then running into Robert’s position – which is how the 22-year-old striker bagged his second goal of the tie! A brilliant attack!

Besides, it should be mentioned how Flick “juggles” tactical formations throughout the entire match: despite the fact that the squad started with a 4-2-3-1 setup, they easily switched to a 4-3-3 with Bernal as a central defensive midfielder, plus Casado and Torre as interiors!

Indeed, the work of the Catalans new coach has been very, very effective and impressive so far!

  1. I want Flick to revamp Ansu Fati…i don't want that boy to leave without achieving something tangible with Barcelona FC. Also we have lost too many talented players in past years that we regretted.

  2. this is exactly what i expected from Flick, to create a hybrid between Barça and his and so far it is impressive. Main issue Barça has had is creating chances for someone like Lewy, it was my only concern when signing him. Adding Gundo was good but due to defensive midfield challenges at times he has had to play deeper. If he does, Pedri is out who is still learning to be a playmaker. This is why Olmo was brought in to "solve" that issue.

  3. 4:15 by mid season that 90min press should be fine. Flick just implemented in training intense 90min sessions, which was previously 60mins. Their body will adjust in time. The previous 60mins sessions is why by 70mins Barça broke down and teams took advantage. It is also cause for injuries too.
