Usmnt couldve been in the quarters with a 5 2 1 2 formation
Greg Berhalter belongs on this show, he'd fit right in with you clowns 🤡
Give this manager the sack. You have to win over your players to implement your tactics. I honestly believe he was trying to get Reyna to prove himself to him but it backfired.
This World Cup as we can see was up for grabs to go into the last 4. No doubt about it. The way things shaped up no team truly dominated. After all this a simple thru group and making it to the next round would have not been enough. We could have easily taken our group. So yes this was failure and big time for USMNT and Berhalter should be asked to leave now. It’s done move on and stop blaming players
Because berhalter is average mls coach and never coached a single international game became head coach. No wonder berhalter could not come up an attack plan that include Gio the best attack player playing highest level. The team staved for scoring goals,
This sounds just like Simeone and Joao Felix. One talented prima donna throwing tantrums and making the locker room toxic and a coach that is left with no choice but to put his foot down even when hurting the team’s potential.
Reyna is not Foden. Reyna is not Pogba. Reyna is a spoiled brat.
What did Gio do exactly?
Berhalter won 40 percent of his games as a club manager across his career. He never should have had the job.
So Gio was good enough to help qualify the United States but not good enough to start and be second to Morris? Yeah sounds like an MLS coach all right.
Not knowing the timeline and all the facts is distorting Franks take. I cant see why Gio would be acting like that unless he had a legit reason. A coach telling a player hes not gonna play much is flat out wrong and than to leak it out in a summit is even worse. Theres no defending Gregg on multiple levels. He was outcoached in the Dutch game, he is inexperienced, he has problems managing younger players and hes betrayed the players trust. Hes proved to be incompetent and deceiving. This young team deserves a much better coach for 2026.
Frank should join GGG at the circus. They have openings for clown positions
I think this issue's been beaten to death. For me it's on the manager this time. I don't know why it isn't that he announces the voter and personally calls the players one by one. Maybe then he can say congratulations and how proud he is and how happy he is to have them – and that he doesn't know the full capacity they will be involved but none-the-less, it's a great honor. But he didn't do that. He told a player later. Then the players level drops. Then the Wales miscommunication. Then he goes to a seminar and speaks about it naively thinking it's 'off the record'. It's a bad look. But regardless, what could he possibly gain by telling a player he just selected to be part of the group "Hey you're here but not going to do much." It actually boxes HIM into a corner. So weird.
I seriously doubt he told him he wasnt going to have limited minutes.
I bet you he told him he wasnt going to start vs Wales and he was going to ease him in and Reyna overreacted
There's been zero indication of this claim. If that's the case why even select the player? Gregg does have a known history of beefing with European players.
