It's a big gamble by uni and he is changing the team he inherited so I expect there will be pressure on him to kick on from last season and maybe expect to have a shot at silverware as we fell away so badly and in the last six games of last season. We still need a centre half to play with konsa
Big strong midfielder in, Tielemens and Onana + Barkley and Kamara – serious midfield now. Free's up McGinn for a more forward role.
Wtf is this using £50m on this guy is a gamble not saying he's a bad player but I thought they would bring a couple of big names like Dumfries and Ivan Toney!
I dont really know much about him but have heard his name seem to get mentioned alot im gonna look him up on football manager and watch a bit on youtube about him
Evertonian here, can understand you bulling him up but for Everton it is a great deal. He is good defensively but we are excellent defensively even without him. Two goals and zero assists last season so don't expect much going forward. Good luck.
I think hes building for both Premier and Champs league this season.
Barrenechea and Kamara are very alike. Barkley and Teilemanns are progressive with the ball. I think Onana will add a bit more steel in there tbh.
Options is the key for Emery.
Tall. 2 footed. Can play as an 8. Everton were toilet last season. In a side like us, he will go forward more, especially when Kamara is back
Everton fan here, you’re getting a top player, he is rapid, massive and does pretty much everything you’d want in a defensive midfielder, wins the ball, barely ever loses it, great athlete

Dude what the heck are you on about John McGinn would be 1st name on the team sheet every time, he is our captain 😡😡 kamara wont be back till the end of Nov at least, Onana is a GREAT signing for Villa I hope we can get rid of Duran, Diarby,Moreno and sign a striker and maybe a number 10.

I think this will be the end of mings. we missed him at set pieces last season but he is nowhere near as progressive as torres, this will allow someone like hermoso to come in as the alternative to torres I think, that would pretty much be the end of mings. Unless of course he wants to keep mings and play another player instead of onnana or possibly both but that's aerial overkill imo. Still overall I like this signing, his stats at everton are not 50 million player stats really, but everton have struggled for a couple of seasons partly from deductions but villa are way more swashbuckling and I think he will benefit from that. Plus he is young enough to get a decent profit from later down the road. Win / win for me. UTV!
