  2. Thanks for this video mate, I feel this was definitely needed considering the crazy revisionism of wan Bissaka I’ve been seeing on Twitter atm. Yes he’s amazing in 1v1 situations but people are acting like it’s absolutely essential. Although elite clubs have players who are great in those situations (e.g Walker at city) they aren’t just tackle merchants; they’ve got so much more to their game. I’ve even seen people claim wan Bissaka is underrated going forward which is simply not the case. Also is people acting like Mazraoui is some bum when he was one of the top prospects in the world in his position coming out of that Ajax squad before he moved. He also excels wan Bissaka in literally every department bar straight 1v1 defending

  3. Mazraoui is everything Wan-Bissaka wishes to be. Yes Wan-Bissaka is excellent 1v1 however his overall game is pitiful in elite football. Wan-Bissaka is terrible with the ball, horrible going forward, lacks awareness in his defensive game hence leaving a lot of space for the opposition to exploit and doesn't fit the system Manchester United is implementing. I hear Wan-Bissaka has improved when he joined which is not the case. He is the same player he was at Crystal Palace and never truly improved his all round game. Wan-Bissaka should have been sold 2 years ago to be honest because he has stagnanted since 2021. Wan-Bissaka is no means a bad player but he's not good enough for Manchester United. I had high hopes for Wan-Bissaka in 2019 but it didn't work out the way we wanted for him.

  4. With respect, I would class Kyle Walker as more of an old-school defensive fullback from the 2000s as you mentioned.

I don’t think he’s ever been great on the ball but his recovery pace has bailed City out numerous times

  5. While I agree Mazraoui is the right style of RB we should be going for, his injury record is frankly appalling. 23 separate injuries since 2018, missing over 450 days and over 100 matches for his club. Then consider that he'd be moving to the EPL, a much more physically demanding league, and for a club that has recently shown to be pretty poor at handling players fitness.

He'd be the next in line of former Bayern players we sign just to keep the physio busy (Hargreaves and Schweinsteiger being the last two players we signed from Bayern).

  6. bissaka is gone either way. but that one-sided defence has carried ten hag through two potentially difficult wembley semi finals and finals. we're gonna miss him when we inevitably have to fight for our lives in the big games next season. my hope is that the attacking edge Dalot and mazraoui are said to bring helps us equalize/win games

  7. WHAT?!! I’m a Utd fan but Ashley Cole was the best left back in the prem ever defending and attacking. He was elite in any era .Evra too was elite going both ways

  8. A German Bundesliga observer here. Mazraoui is overrated and I'd bet 1000 EUR right now that y'all be disappointed in a year from now. He might have the skills but he surely doesn't have the mindset and the mental strength to be consistent in the Premier League. GL Bayern needs the money, so I am totally fine with any deal.

  9. I would prefer Dumfries. Absolute unit brillant going forward, sound defensively, 2 footed and injury resilient..surrounding Yoro with experience players like Shaw,Martinez and Dumfries will allow him to thrive

  10. A lot of fans are upset that he’s leaving, yep he’s one of the best 1v1 defenders but he’s lacking in a lot of other areas. Fullbacks are key in ten hag’s style of play & Bissaka is not it. People want a rebuild but they’re also moaning when we let go of players. When we don’t have a style of play & revert back to a low block, counter-attacking football because our players aren’t suited to the style, who do you think they’ll blame? Yep the manager

  11. I disagree, I think AWB just needed a more switched on and consistent center back pairing. He can dribble and pass, what he lacks in those, he more than makes up for by being able to shut down top wingers. They know he is a big obstacle and can only pass him rarely, which often includes pairing with a teammate who is loosely marked.

I'd keep my full backs if I were United. Dalot is a good switch for AWB, Malacia is a good switch for Shaw (he shut down Salah at his age).

Their in possession play is not bad, its just not as good as a TAA or Kyle Walker or Mazroui. But I think we make light of the ability to say "my full back can shut down that insanely good winger" just for tactics. What happens when the reason you get beat is because Mitoma is lighting up your full backs?😅

  12. Mazroui and Vanderson are both good but if at all United decide to build a squad the manager and the supporting personnel should consider a player whom will offer competition throughout the season. don't get me wrong, with Mazroui there will definitely be competition when and if he will be available. But for a player with an average of 10-11 matches missed in 3 consecutive seasons mainly due to injuries just doesn't sit right with me.

  13. I like Mazrhaoui but i really hope he's not going to stunt Dalot's progress. Dalot was easily one of our most consistent players last season.
