As an employer who employs people in a high pace job I make sure my staff get the appropriate rest on my rota for their health and also the health of the rest of the business. What I dont do is notice my whole team is knackered and give them 7 12 hour shifts in a row then say the reason we went bankrupt is because you lot were tired. Absolute weasle

Gareth, I don't know if you'll ever read this but I and so many others are so proud of you and all you've accomplished with the team! Please don't be discouraged enough to quit, building takes time and enormous sacrifice! You've been so close and have poured so much of yourself into your work and achieved more than any previous England manager has for decades. Don't listen to the haters who love to criticize, they don't know what they're talking about unless they've actually walked a mile in your shoes. The players LOVE and RESPECT you, and so do the majority of supporters! Keep up the great work!!!

"too many players were unfit…" but you brought them along anyway… the arrogance and incompetence of this man. sheer hubris! and yet, the players who were fit and had great individual seasons, were sat warming the bench. some of them he considered too young for the tournament and still decided to choose them for the squad; Lamine Yamal, was 16 years of age, tearing grown men to ribbons, whilst sitting his exams and then went on to win the tournament, a day after his 17th birthday. I watched the game in the US with my husband, not a football (soccer ) fan, it just seems endless and people desperate for something exciting to happen when the kick clearly was nowhere near the goal post. It is rather boring. However, maybe I am wrong, but Spain seemed a lot fitter in stamina than England. Maybe they need to work out more, and stop drinking so much beer.
Who's fault is it that Southgate picks unfit players for matches, or chose to pick unfit players for the tournament? Everyone could see that Kane wasn't fit, but he still persisted. Bringing one leftback who hasn't played since February, and not opted to bring another. Persisting with a forward line of Kane, Foden and Bellingham, when it wasn't working. His substitutions were poor. Numerous players looked leggy, and he did nothing to address that. Has a squad but opting to not to utilise them.
We get nothing but excuses from Southgate. How do you fail with this calibre of players, every flipping time? It is baffling, but Southgate has consistently done so.
Reap what you sow southgate..down to you with your negative tatics and poor team selection..if they are unfit they dont play ..its not rocket science..you melt.

Southgate's mentality is not to lose instead of going ahead to win, which was reflected by England's performance on the pitch, awkward, disconnected, but somehow working until facing the real deal Spain. He has done his job, not toooo bad, though England gotta move on from him if winning a major trophy is still the goal.

You lost because you played Kane over and over, and he makes zero runs, so opens up zero space, which is exactly what Foden/Bellingham need to playfootball, but you also played them every game. Worst synergy ever.
