  1. Right then, Yousouff Fofana to United…YES or NO? Do you think it would be the right sort of midfield signing for us and what do you think is the max price we should offer?

  2. Great Video! very well done, Thank you. I am a Man United fan by choice but I grew up in a Benfica house… so I also watch a lot Portuguese football and I watched a lot of Ugarte in his Sporting days. He is the real deal. Strong with the ball and off the ball, aggressive and spectacular engine.. Did you remember what he did to Arsenal? He is the player we need, he owns the midfield and in my opinion he is worth the 70mil

  3. This guy is a beast. He's press resistant and difficult to disposses.. He is Definitely better than Amrabat and younger too. Yaya toure kind of player.

  4. I'm really not interested in Ugarte or Fofana… Just give me Ivan Toney and we can close this window as a huge success. Stop wasting money on all these others and give us Toney!

  5. Tell him to believe in the project and give him a good role, get him aboard, then sign a pre-contract in january to sign him for free… (Unless we can get him for around 15-20m's)

  6. I think even at £35m Fofana would be a good signing. He's played enough games at DM to know how to play the position and his all round game can still take the pressure off of Mainoo with his ability to help in buildup and progress the ball. Maybe we bid around £20mil to start off with (like how we were doing with Branthwaite) just to see how Monaco respond, as like you mentioned Fofana has 1 year left on his contract. If we could get Youssouf Fofana for relatively cheap then we could even try and get Zubimendi as well if we have money left over/make good sales on fringe midfield players (i.e. Casemiro, McTominay, Eriksen, Hannibal etc)

  7. Is this player the playmaker we must have. Is he the equivalent of say De Bruyne. If not he is not the answer. If United cant sign someone like De Jong then we shall not be successful. The same applies to a central defender. We need an experienced player who has succeeded at the top level . The French league is not top level . The youngster who has signed is not enough . The striker signed will never be as lethal as Greenwood who is genuinely world class. From a financial point of view he has been given away. His true worth is double that accepted. To sell the best striker to come through the Academy for peanuts and pay much more for a replacement is lunacy. Financially astute. Don't make me laugh. The first game is not far off and the squad is marginally better than last season but is nowhere near one that will contest for big honours. Games are won and lost in midfield. Opposition coming from City with Rodri, De Broyne and Foden at the helm will be too strong. We must sign a world class midfield . None have come in yet. Talking about transfer fees . It costs much more for a real experienced star than £35 million. What has been spent so far is peanuts if real success is the aim. Self publicity is good though.

  8. I disagree with you Sam on this one. Fofana has been deployed in a double-pivot with Zakaria mostly in the past season. And while his stats show he is quite a progressive player, he spends most of the time deepest compared to Zakaria.

In build-up situations and progression phases, he's always (mostly) the deepest midfielder.

I'm looking at our first 2 pre-season games and it's clear we are going with a double-pivot and in that case, Fofana looks like a a good fit.

Whatever money they want to use on Amrabat should be used on Fofana instead. He could also play in games when there's no Mainoo and our ball retention and progression would not necessarily suffer.

While Ugarte is not a bad player, I really think a lot of people are over-rating him. You bring up his performance in the Copa America and I'll bring up Amrabat's World Cup performance.

  9. Looking @ it from a different angle, Amrabat & Fofana would cost less than Ugarte as it stands. Amrabat brings a defensive, whilst Fofana excels in helping build up play & create chances; he's a mix btw McT & Casamiro. He's also strong, nimble & can keep pass the ball well.
Seems a better way to spend €50M+.

  10. Do not touch our AWB 😢 He would lock the right back channel better than anyone in the world even tho he doesn’t offer much to the attack as dumfries. We already have Dalot as well. Surely AWB should not leave on a free!!

  11. I reckon fofana will struggle with the pace of premier league. Ugarte is exactly what we've been missing since herera left. Id rather keep mctominay too. The guys got solid passion n can do a job
