Everton have faced a setback in their efforts to sign Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City as Aston Villa have submitted a loan offer for the midfielder. Everton have made other signings, including Jake O’Brien and Jesper Lindstrom, and are also targeting Armando Broja and Weston McKennie.
