I think he picked it because Birmingham is the second biggest City in England, he would have also been aware on how Man Utd has been overtaken by Man City in recent times and we have one of the key people who was on that journey. Im pleased with who we have got in. The squad is much better since losing most of it after last season. I think we would have a decent season in the championship with this lot. Ugbo is a big and strong forward who kept Wednesday up, I wouldn't mind him, but jay is in front of him all day long, and he can play down the right. I hear if Fulham sign a forward, we can have him, so let's hope they get their man.

Yesterday was an eye opener against Walsall, didn't see any signs of us walking the league. Thought Paik and Myoshi were pushed off the ball too easy and Wilumsson looked laboured to me. We looked short up front and Dembele's final ball was unreliable. KRO ๐

There has been a lot of speculation about JJ but i think he is very much in Davies's plans, hasn't asked to leave, is on a long term contract and let's face it is at a club that is absolutely going places! Again, i think Paik will stay – one year out of international football is no great hardship and he has started every game and more tellingly apart from Hansson the team at Walsall looks like it will be the starting line up against Reading. The J Stansfield link has no legs there is absolutely nothing concrete about that. Likewise with Ugbo.
The one that does have truth to it is Dembele off to Blackburn . 1.7m potentially worth 2.3 million/2.5 million.
In my honest opinion, we do need a striker to cover for Alfie May, but that should be someone who can learn from him maybe we should be looking to either players within our own youth system or young players from league 1/2.

Jay Stansfield completed a medical last Friday (26th July). Should be announced tomorrow Monday 29th.
Ike ugbo would be a great signing would be cheaper and more realistic than stanno and would hold up in the championship. Should offer 3-4 mill.
He would be competing with may but probably would be the 2nd striker.
Ugbo would bag atleast 15 goals in league 1 with regular games.
