I think thereās a lot of Logic to it. He wonāt necessarily threaten Dalot and we can effectively use him for extra height and attacking ability (which we severely lack) and if we sign him on a 3 year contract, he can possibly be moved for what would effectively be free Ā£Ā£Ā£.
Given the options, this seems like a smart and pragmatic move while also giving AWB what he wants (respect to him for wanting Inter) so that all parties are happy.

We have Dalot that's been doing great…but Dumphries can play RB or CB and in a pince LB…so he is much more flexible that WBS….as long as the money works…I think he'd be great
Actually feel like this move makes a lot of sense for both parties. AWB is a solid defender and I think he would do well in Inzaghi's system as a RCB versus a RWB. For Ten Hag and United Dumfries offers a closer option in profile to Dalot which means the Progressions and Ideas wouldn't change when rotating either player in or out. Of all the deals that seem to be churned in the rumor mill this one just feels like a cut and dry "20 mil + a gentlemen's handshake" and your it solves a problem for everybody.
Awb complements dalot defensively when we face tricky wingers. Why don't we focus on more pressing positions; LB,DM another CB first.
That guy is so old we don't need him, only a season for us and he will be already 30, Geez this is unacceptable

AWB tasted titles and was like nope iām tryna win another trophy and inter milan is always a good destination for ex united players.. Dumfries is an upgrade a lil bit more competition for Dalot

I have lost count how many times Wan Bissaka has been caught out of position, lost his man or been caught on the wrong side of his man in the last 3 years. When he is caught out he often shows no desire and simply jogs back. Iāve heard all the hype / rubbish about ābest 1-1 defenderā etc etc. Thatās only because there are stats for tackles and ball recoveries etc. There are no stats kept for ābeing directly responsible for leaking goalsā and ālosing your manā. He was solid at Palace but never worth 50M. Desperation purchase and have and it has cost us points on countless occasions.
Sort answer is yes for me. Dumfries would be an upgrade. Maybe Wan-Bissaka is a better defender overall, but modern full backs can contribute at both ends of the field and for me Aaron is no good offensively. But the truth is LB is much more needed in our team than a RB. This move is like INEOS doing business exploiting every opportunity comes into the market, taking into consideration AWB's contract is expiring soon.
Can Dumfries play at LB?
Why donāt we look at bah from Benfica good with both fit and would work
Dumfries is great as a back up and if you want to play in a different way than with AWB. But i would not switch them.

I personally Dumfries should come through,I think a fresh look and experience at the centre back is needed,we just signed leny yoro with Dumfries and Martinez bi personally think our defence will be in great shape,I personally watched inter Milan with Dumfries especially the season their won the serial a title he performed extremely good,I would like him on board.
