I did THINK Casinero would be magic even with the last minute deal happened, but since watching Ugarte since he was in Portugal I was always sure he would the Premiership in general. He is a busy bee and knows who is who and who to attack and who he shouldn't. Clever footballer all round.
I like ugarte as long as we have a backup or another player to challenge/rotate with him as well i dont want to see erickson mctominay or mainoo at 6. Mainoo can do it but hes an 8 not a 6.

The other midfielders we are linked to are linked to are not the profile that the squad really needs. Fofana and Zubimendi are better on the ball, but we have Mainoo for that. We need a player that covers ground quickly and will win the ball back. When we got rid of Fred the lack of legs in midfield was way too aparent.
Zubimendi is not that guy, and Fofana could do a job but Ugarte is really what we need. Amadou Onana would also have been a good fit but Ugarte is even better.
Doubt we will sign him. United don’t sign players who make sense and improve the team we sign mason mount for no reason then don’t pay the money for a player we actually need. It’s gone way too quiet, the players who we was supposed to be selling literally all look like they are staying and it’s apparently a sell to buy situation. I feel like the rest of the transfer window will be very underwhelming. Hopefully I’m wrong

The stats are good but did you see the full matches featuring Tobby Collyer? Tobby is the same age as Ugay e' when the later broke through senior football in the Uruguayan league 3 years ago. He then had 2 very good years in the Portuguese league followed by one average year in the French league.
Tobby is breaking through at the same age as Ugay e' in Man Utd at the premier league!!! Much more difficult to do, and you think it is best to stunt that progress by paying 45m pounds on a player that is only 3 years older and slightly better than him??
Smart decision is to keep paying that hyper inflated salary to Casemiro who is on thew wane but with mountains of experience to guide young Tobby. it will cost about a third of the money to bring in another overrated south American and give proper chance for Tobby to stake his claim.

I love United's signings so far But am sure United has not solved the biggest challenge of we had last season. And that is a defensive cover/midfielder. Brono Will always come back to defend which limits creativity and striker will look useless the same way the defensive line will be exposed to the extent Yoro will turn to a Maguire!!
