Manchester City’s pre-season tour of the United States began with a 4-3 defeat to Celtic in North Carolina.
A first half brace from Nicolas Kuhn and smart Kyogo Furuhashi finish meant City went in behind at the break despite Oscar Bobb also finding the net.
With Celticโs Scottish Premier League season getting under way in just over one week, their extra sharpness initially told in the Kenan Memorial Stadiumโs North Carolina heat.
A defiant second half display, spearheaded by the irrepressible Bobb, pulled City level though with Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland both on target, but the Scottish champions found a winner through substitute Luis Palma.

What a game! Khรผn and maeda opened up Man Cityโs defence like a kid with a Christmas gift!
I know itโs all pre-season but up here in the best bit of the world, Scotland, our season starts early (first game comโ Aug 4th) so this is the final stages of our pre-season and to see our team play like that made me so proud as a lifelong Celtic fan!
This game was incredible! The Man City team were brilliant, the young players are serious contenders for first team. I think Haaland was kind to us in the first half but the saves from Schmeichel were on form!

When Man Utd lost 1-0 my friend (a city fan) kept on laughing saying Man U weโre back but after this game they should keep quiet because itโs a friendly and it doesnโt mean much except preparing players for the season

Does anyone know what the attendance was last night? From what we see it looked like there were very few Celtic fans there and also many empty seats. On line there are conflicting reports of what the capacity is ranging from one which says 50,500 to one which says 63,000.
