Manuel Ugarte appears to be Erik ten Hag’s number one midfield target
for Manchester United this summer. Ugarte is a player well established for his excellent work as a defensive midfielder for Sporting Lisbon, and now for PSG. It hasn’t quite worked out how he would have wanted it to with PSG, but that falls right into our hands. The type of DM that Ugarte is, makes him a poor fit for PSG. More on that later. I think that as a defensive midfielder, Ugarte will fit into defensive midfield at Manchester United.
We have the same problem as last season…Teas will walk through us. It was a tactical problem, not personnel. Every player we played on their own in midfield was overwhelmed. Sadly this will continue because are misdiagnosing the issue…its tactical and not a player one. The dimensions of the pitch do not change…We will be overwhelmed & ETH will get sacked by Xmas
ETH at the end of the season stumbled onto something. The False 9. Dropping Rasmus and playing Bruno there meant we had an body in midfield…so we did well in the last 3 games. If ETH reverts to type…its problematic…guessing this will be over most fans heads…they only want shiny new toys (players)

I honestly can't stress how much I think Ugarte improves us. We need that aggression badly. It'll free up kobbie. Also, his passing is underrated in my opinion.
It seems u guys don't really know the potentials of ugarte…ugarte can make utd win this season premier league. With ugarte man utd cant be penetrated easily, he's a rock, he's fearless and aggressive…trust me
Do we really need him though coz seriously Oyedele is some player his passing is crazy good. Toby Collyer looks great too. Amrabat is going to only 12m pound and Richard Rios a lot cheaper too. Why pay 40m when you’ve got just as good options.

What’s folks opinion on, mazraoui.lucumi.chalobah. Kadioglu. Yousaff fofana and Richard rios would be about 150 n can get that surely from selling deadwood you’d hope
We need Ugarte, I grew up on Robson, Ince, Keane etc, without being too disrespectful to our current crop we need someone nasty when things are going pear shaped

Whilst I Ugarte would be my first choice for the role we need I like the fact that we are clearly looking at multiple options and putting feelers out for the financials. Rabiot, Rios and Zubimendi all also linked.
Give me a Ji Sung Park type in the 6 alongside Mainoo and sat infront of The Butcher and Yoro and we don't concede often. He gives me shades of Ander Herrera who was a player I really loved

When I was watching United in the '60s Nobby Stiles (RIP) was that Guy, winning the ball and then giving it to Charlton & Paddy as soon as he could. Not the greatest footballer but he was always Mr Dependable👍👍❤❤

I think the hole in the midfield. Would be filled perfectly with this Boy…
Obviously we can't buy everyone we're scouting or rumoured to be in for, but I'd sell McTominay, Sancho, Lindelof and bring in De ligt and Ugarte. Keep Maguire and Casemiro for cover, then cut those two loose in the next window. A stronger squad -with a priority of top 4. Then push on from there.
Sort of a less technical Owen Hargreaves right?
If this line up with Ugarte can click, we stand a good chance to surprise many teams this season.
If we get Ugarte and De Ligt, then the next one should be a proper LB as cover for Shaw. And a replacement for AWB if he leaves.
