  1. McIntyre’s quote on him being a bad teammate, selfish and lazy at Dortmund couldn’t be further from the truth. His teammates love him and show it if you follow the team. He’s a 19 year old super talent that we’re lucky to have, he messed up when he found out his limited role and apologized to team and staff. They accepted it and moved on. That’s it. This should’ve been kept in-house and shouldn’t have been leaked. Berhalter out.

  2. This McIntyre guy is a major Douche, to spread rumors about Gio saying he does or did this at Dortmund is ridiculous. Countless reporters and even the team came out and said this is false.

  3. Also, per Derek Rae: BVB‘s sporting CEO Sebastian Kehl was similarly confused by the notion & has said so.
    Kehl: “We know him as a good guy who works professionally and who is a valued teammate in the dressing room. That this is being fundamentally placed in doubt after a few days in Qatar, is for us at BVB incomprehensible & doesn’t do Gio Reyna justice.”

  4. Alternate take;

    McIntyre can’t be trusted bc he’s a click bait merchant, asking the German media to do his job, like they don’t go hardcore over every detail there AND Twellman is untrustworthy as well. Twellman’s take her is likely correct but too often the guy has absolutely peddled USSF talking points, particularly when it comes to praising certain players & criticizing others.

  5. Kid who thinks he is special cause his dad played for the US
poor sportsmanship gets sent packing every time

  6. Whether Twellman is right or not, NO player should have a vote on whether another player should be on the team. That responsibility should rest solely on the head coach/manager – Berhalter. A player's success (financial etc.) depends on his performance in the world's biggest stage and NO competing player should have ANY say whatsoever on the fate of another player. Berhalter is doing a CYA, as it's clear he does not like Reyna for whatever reason. Also, Dortmund released a statement backing Reyna, which you fail to point out. Your statement that the "staff" voted is misleading because players are on the "Council>"
