Youssef Chermiti scored twice late on to deservedly give Everton reward for a creative display in an entertaining 3-3 draw at Sligo Rovers in their pre-season opener on Friday afternoon.

Captain Seamus Coleman played the opening 45 minutes against his old club, while there were first appearances in royal blue after the break for Illiman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam.

  1. People’s heads fell off at the halftime scoreline. Let’s be honest Pickford does better for the first two goals and the third, well that’s just Mason.

  2. I don't see that game as entertaining, I see that as more of an embarrassment. Everton had enough clear cut chances to make it 4 or 5 in the first half but as usual couldn't capitalise on any of them!! Is this the start of things to come?

  3. Benbulben mountain peaking up behind the main stand.

    Under Benbulben, W.B. Yeats

    Swear by those horsemen, by those women,
    Complexion and form prove superhuman,
    That pale, long visaged company
    That airs an immortality
    Completeness of their passions won;
    Now they ride the wintry dawn
    Where Ben Bulben sets the scene…

  4. Everton have a fitness, keeper, defence and set pieces coaches, but can obcvously not affort a proper attacking coach. Just as terrible on finishing as last season except Chermiti who still remember what he learned before he joined the 1st team.
