On today’s podcast, It’s Only Sport host Martin Devlin delivers the most in-depth and rounded State of Origin game three preview going around! All eyes will be on Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium (traditionally known as Lang Park) tonight for the deciding game of the series. New South Wales looked the goods in game two in Melbourne, but history is against them – the Blues have only ever won two deciders against Queensland in Brisbane, the last being 19 years ago.

First up, Devlin delivers a sermon previewing tonight’s big game, hoping it’s a close and captivating contest that – unlike the first two matches – isn’t over by halftime.

Then, AAP’s Joel Gould and NRL.com’s Brad Walter offer their thoughts on the match and which team has the edge. Devlin also revisits Monday’s Rugby League Hour interview with the legend Andrew Johns, who discusses the hatred between Queensland and New South Wales and how difficult it is to play in a blue jumper in the sunshine state.

As well as that, longtime radio host and sports broadcaster Miles Davis remembers the late Norm Hewitt and discusses Gareth Southgate stepping down as England football manager, and Mark ‘Watto’ Watson delves into criticism directed at the ACC for comments made during the second All Blacks-England test, and a couple of Kiwi female athletes achieving great things on the global sporting stage.

All that and much more!
