I watched almost every minute he played for us and I always thought he was treated harshly by Arteta who was constantly dropping him. Could never get a run of games. I could be wrong but I don't think he ever played three matches in a row the entire time he was here. In hindsight Arteta was developing saka which was the correct choice but pepe was a sad story. A counter attacking very direct winger who was forced to become a possession player. It was never gonna really work.

It’s the same problem English football is having with their talents/players. I’m really scared for a lot of young English players now especially the ones with African and Caribbean descent. They hype them at their young age and they become irrelevant even before they turn 30 years. Example, Jordon Ibe, Reece Oxford.
