Dana White on Noche UFC at Sphere: 10 Fights, $17 Million Cost #danawhite #seanomalley #ufcnews

The Noche UFC card on Sept. 14, also known as UFC 306, will feature fewer fights than a standard UFC event, but it comes with a hefty price tag. UFC CEO Dana White revealed during an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” that the event will include just 10 bouts.

“We’re going to do 10 (fights),” White told McAfee. “There will be a main, co-main, and obviously this card will be very Mexican-heavy.”

White did not specify which fights will headline the event. However, Ariel Helwani mentioned on “The MMA Hour” that a bantamweight title fight between Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili, as well as a women’s flyweight title defense by Alexa Grasso against either Valentina Shevchenko or another contender, are being discussed.

White emphasized the uniqueness of the UFC’s venture into Sphere. “I’m already $17 million into this thing, and we’re not anywhere near September yet,” White said. “It’s gonna be the most unique, badass show you’ve ever seen in sports.”

The event, airing on ESPN+ pay-per-view with prelims on ESPNews and ESPN+, already has six confirmed fights:

– Anthony Hernandez vs. Michel Pereira
– Irene Aldana vs. Norma Dumont
– Yazmin Jauregui vs. Ketlen Souza
– Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Manuel Torres
– Kevin Borjas vs. Edgar Chairez
– Ode Osbourne vs. Luis Rodriguez

The anticipation for this event is building, as it promises to be unlike any other in UFC history.
