Why is it that as fans we look at a goal and pick someone to blame without actually analysing what happened leading up to the goal. If you look at Spain's 2nd goal, it is easy to blame Walker. He was out of position. Now, I agree that Walker had a poor tournament all round and maybe Trent would have been a better option. Back to the goal though. Walker had to follow Olmo's run from the right in towards the centre of Englands box. If he hadn't, then Olmo would have been free in the centre of Englands box. What no one has really mentioned, is why was Saka ambling back from the halfway line and not tracking Cucurella's run down the wing. He just let him go. This left Walker with two Spanish players on his side of the pitch. Conceding a goal is usually more than just one person's fault.
Southgate needs to go not rewarded with new contract he needs to be more brutal axing players that are not performing not being mates same old story to defensive players under performing
