England Will Make HISTORY! | Euro 2024 Final | Spain vs England

Dr Sports we are live here in Berlin right by the Brandenburg gate behind me you can see those are sort of like the BBC Studios and a lot of people sort of come around this area to mingle it’s like a really famous Square here in Germany there’s England fans around everywhere there’s Spanish fans around and everybody’s buzzing and looking forward to the game tomorrow including me I’m so fortunate to be here and I really cannot wait for tomorrow um this game is absolutely huge this game for me is history or potential history should I say because England have not won a trophy since 1966 let’s not forget that 1966 and we’re on the verge of winning a trophy we are on the verge of bringing it back home it’s coming home that’s what all the English fans are saying right now but the reality of it is is going to be a really really tough game the best team in this tournament so far for me has been Spain they played cating football yamal um Nico Williams Danny Elmo I mean Fabian Ruiz in Midfield rri they’ve just been absolutely incredible and in every game they’ve been the entertainers they’ve played brilliant football and in England on the other hand we ain’t been great have we in a lot of games the the group stage we weren’t great but we got through then we got into the knockout rounds the round of 16 we weren’t great but we got through quarterfinals weren’t great but we got through semi-finals I think we were a lot better in that game and we deserve to win that game but again little bit fortunate with that penalty decision but we’re in a final and it doesn’t matter once you get to a final about how you played in the buildup this is tournament football it’s not always necessary that you played cating football all the way through it’s about what you do tomorrow what you do on the 14th of July at 8:00 p.m. UK time 9900 p.m. here is what you do on that night that defines you that’s what makes you the European Champions or the runners up nobody’s going to look on it and say oh Spain played well in that game and they were brilliant in that game all they’re going to look at is a team that is lifting up the trophy and all the ticker tapes flying and stuff like that and this is why I feel that England are going to do it tomorrow I’m confident that England are going to win this they’ve got big players that have stepped up on many occasions in this tournament when we were down and out Bellingham overhead kick brilliant Harry Kane stepped up even the other day with that penalty big moment steps up Bank sacka stepped up bang the semi-finals looks like he’s going to extra time OE Watkins comes on a guy that would start in literally every other team was on the bench for England steps up scores a goal Big Goal I’m telling you England are going to win this that’s my prediction they’re going to win it we’ve got players that can step up at any given time and I think Gareth southgate’s Tac basically has been be solid don’t ship loads of goals solid defense I know it can be a bit boring at times but this tournament football and then he relies on the quality of these players to step up now it’s going to be tough against Spain they are a very very very good side exciting side electric I’m worried about how we’re going to contain their wide players you know I mean I’m bit worried about trippier how’s he going to cope with those two pacy Wingers you know Nico Williams up against him yamal that worries me a bit another area that concerns me and another area that I feel that England are going to have to be really on the money on and this is where I think Spain are really strong is the Midfield rorri and Fabian Ruiz have been absolutely brilliant in this tournament they’ve been to me phenomenal in that Midfield area and then they bought on Danny Almo you know me they started with pedri he got injured they bought on Danny olmo and he’s been amazing in that number 10 as well their Midfield has been the best Midfield in the tournament and it’s how a England going to stop those fre players rodri we know all about he’s an amazing player great on The Bard can score goals from outside the box his passing’s amazing Fabian Ruiz box to box same sort of thing great on the ball strong and that Dani Elmo tricky scores goals three goals already in the tour two assists he’s really established himself as a top player but we’ve got a good Midfield as well Dean rice sitting there big big game for him he’s going to have to contain um some of those Midfield threats he’s going to have to get through a lot of work right and then of course Kobe Mayu this kid has come in he’s been absolutely brilliant he’s been fantastic on the ball I think he’s got a massive role to play and he can be a real gem a real player that they’re not even really thinking about and really do some damage there and then who’s going to play in that number 10 position now I loved the other day when Phil foden played there because I thought that was his best game the first half against the Netherlands that was Phil foden Manchester City all the other games when we’ve been playing him out wide playing him on the the wings it hasn’t worked he’s looked very uncomfortable out on that left hand side always cutting in so play him in that number 10 role but I’m telling you it’s two good midfields going up against each other you got to give Spain The Edge because that Midfield they got phenomenal but we got a very good Midfield as well it’s going to be a battle of those two midfields to see who comes out on top but I do think that England have the quality number one to like come with a really big performance in the final but number two in a tight game I feel we’ve got the quality to win this game and that’s why I’ve been saying you know I know everybody’s been mocking it and I’ve saying believe but these England players have to believe tomorrow the nation has to believe tomorrow because I do think this team is good enough to win it and if they do win it what about Gareth Southgate much criticized including I was killing him at the start of this tournament but when you think about it this guy’s record’s been absolutely amazing before he came what were we doing we weren’t getting into semi-finals we weren’t getting into finals he’s got us into this is the second final we’re in you know if he wins this honestly it’s going to be sir G Southgate I guarantee you that sir Gare Southgate and I’d actually be really happy for him because he’s taken a lot of criticism so big moment for English football guys said AR over there big moment for all of those players out there this is it this is the moment when they got a guy out there on the biggest stage in European football and they got to perform they got to deliver the big players that we know and we see we can week out in the Premier League and even other leagues like you know La Liga Bundesliga running teams in those leagues they have to step up tomorrow in the Euros final and deliver and I feel that if they do that we’ll have too much for Spain as good as Spain are so excited Prospect to see two great teams going at it it could be a history making moment I’m glad here I’m here to possibly witness it and yeah I just got to say again believe I really do think England can win the Euros
