  1. Too bad the USMNT head coach is fired because all of his players underachieved in the big stage and made huge mistakes on the pitch. Let's be honest, regardless who they hire as next head coach, if their scouting and program does not improve in less than two years, they will be an early group exit at the 2026 World Cup in front of the home fans.

  2. We really don't owe Berhalter any praise. He wasted a lot of resources and time. He got paid to burn the program to the ground. Why are people thinking we owe him anything but a farewell as he does the long walk out of the office?

  3. How many Latinos are on the U.S. team? Only one? Why ? Could it be because you have to pay to play in the U.S. The team is made out of upper middle-class kids. No grit soccer is a hobby, not a passion or lifestyle? That's the problem They are third tier athletes that happened to play soccer

  4. Thank goodness. US men’s soccer is , and has been, the most frustrating watch over the last two decades. I hate to admit to this but I will; I have enjoyed the World Cup without the USA more because it is an enjoyable watch, which happens without my expectation of a frustrating collapse.

  5. When USMNT’s peak is beating Mexico’s worst generation in recent history three times in a row, – with the US’ best generation in history – you are in deep trouble.

  6. You can’t tell me the USA doesn’t have the money to go out and hire a great coach. The reason Americans don’t care about soccer is every time they play on TV they choke and lose

  7. You want to know who else need to go. Gio Reyna and his entitled little attitude and keep his dad away from anything related to the USMNT.. then they can start reevaluating the rest of the team but is in no way the golden era of US soccer..

  8. How about Chris Coleman, he seems to do well on short time. The Welsh manager who took them to the semis? He seems to do well on short time and looks to be unemployed.

  9. I think the European style fits the US soccer player, Our players do not have the dribbling skills, etc. for the South America style..(Not Yet).. More tactics game for now.. Find a Coach and staff from Europe.. Italy, Spain, Germany , Holland.. They have history on coaching and training.. The future of US soccer players will come from the inner cities , Not High schools/ College. LET THEM LOOSE.. SCOUT THE INNER CITIES .. There are kids that have skill and are hungry….

  10. WTF is she talking about? Panama didn’t have 10 men? And if you’re so proud to be an American then prove it. Renounce your Colombian citizenship and burn your Colombian jersey. Kidding. But seriously, wtf point were you trying to make?

  11. What the U.S need is first to admit their players are average & secondly, they need to develop a cultural sensibilty to futbol. We need to develop our footballing culture from the grass roots. Spain can recycle players but still keep the same principles. We don't have fundamental princples to our football. We are similar to Brazil in that we've not fully established our footballing culture by destorying our domestic league, where coaches can't even develop. We first need to develop coaches who will build upon a footballing philosophy. Argentina are the best examples to do this & despite Messi's presence, the system works despite of him.

What we need is a systematic manager like Conte or Sarri. An Italian systematic approach that covers for our lack of technical abilities & mininaml footballing intelligence/cunning. Put it differently, we need a head coach to teach the game in line with his principles. The only manager i see available and young enough to appeal for our fans is De Zerbi. This would mean players would play on merit, especially that god-awful Reyna. Gregg chose principles over actually teaching given his lack of gravitas.

  12. Why is he getting any credit? Did he develop these players? Did they get better under his tenure or stagnate/worsen? He took a talented team and wasted it. Good riddance

  13. The money constraint argument is always interesting to me. There is likely no shortage of American soccer benefactors willing to bankroll a top-tier USMNT coach for the 2026 World Cup in the USA. If money is used as an excuse, it is because the US Soccer Federation has failed to be creative.

  14. US Soccer is broken. A pay for play youth system only puts coaches egos in front of the development. If you win, you get paid more. If you train a kid up well, he gets poached by a richer club. The richer parents' kids go to tournaments. The poor neighborhoods with potential never get a coach.

  15. There is an Argentinian coach who I think would be perfect for the US, his name is Antonio Mohamed. I want him to coach the Mexican national team but I think his style better suits the US national team and vice versa

  16. Anybody who understands that Pulisic can't play on the flank and that hold-up players in front of a 3-man midfield is a prescription for getting beaten by Caribbean Island teams would be just great.

  17. As a Panamanian, I get a degree of satisfaction knowing that my team of Panama 🇵🇦 was largely responsible for the dismissal of Gregg Berhalter as U.S. head coach. The United States looked down on us and considered the game against Panama as a forgone victory for them 🤣. I love it that the arrogant have been brought down to earth by a weaker team with no soccer culture or infrastructure.

  18. A real world class coach someone like Klinsmann used to be, would also need a strong tech team to help with AI simulations, that will help develop strategies against different teams, evaluate skills of players quickly , ai will be able to provide recommendations on wide variety of opportunities to improve including selections….and much more. So a good strong coach + AI to help him with good strategic decisions on various things. AI can recommendations on various topics, coach makes the ultimate decisions.

  19. Can someone please tell this woman to get her facts straight before she talks. Panama has 8 players at the moment playing in Europe and more than half of them are playing in the first division of their respective leagues. In fact Michael Amir Murillo plays and starts for Olympique de Marseille. A club that has more history and is better than some clubs that your starting lineup players play for. Put some respect on the Panama team and players, maybe the only concacaf team that could have pulled up that upset.

  20. Results wise: 44-17-13 is not a bad record, just couldn't win the big games when it really counted. Also, the US team is not quite as talented as pundits keep saying. There are good players but not world best and no one close to a star. Team needs another Dempsey or Donovan.
