Andre Onana | Best Saves | Highlights
André Onana (fr. André Onana; born April 2, 1996, Nkol Ngoc) is a Cameroonian footballer, goalkeeper of the Dutch club Ajax and the Cameroon national team.
Andre is a graduate of the Samuel Eto’o Academy. In 2010 he joined the Barcelona system and played for their teams for five years. In January 2015, Andre moved to Ajax Amsterdam. Initially, he played for the second team of this club in Oerstedivizi, in the 2016/17 season the goalkeeper was transferred to the first. His debut in the Dutch top division took place on 20 August 2016 in a match against Willem II.
In February 2021, he was disqualified for 12 months for doping. The banned drug furosemide was found in Onana’s doping test. In the official statement of “Ajax” it is argued that the drug entered the player’s body by accident – he mistakenly took his wife’s medicine. In June, by the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the period of ineligibility was reduced to 9 months. On November 24, 2021, after serving a suspension, he returned to the field in a match against Besiktas. The match ended with the victory of Ajax with a score of 2: 1.
