has to be last see the scenario coming up you’d think he would be depressed because the French are out he’s as hyper as he’s been I know as M said he’s had two days off he’s excited to be back on TV so then Spain are through to the final defeating France uh 2-1 great first half of football this was probably the best that we’ve seen so far in this tournament muani would open the scoring great header from him to give France the advantage and then 16-year-old lamin y m would score an absolute Beauty from outside of the box to make it 1-1 and then just moments later great individual skill from Danny Mo would see Spain get the lead and a lead as I say they would keep until the final whistle Spain then to the final on Sunday France out uh Jurgen clintsman joins us to give us his point of view we’ll be here from Jurgen in a moment but we got to start with the Frenchman Frank great this was a really good game wasn’t it that was a very good game and uh for the first time the the French team scored a real goal in in in the in the game and uh I thought it would be maybe a turning point and we saw the the Spanish Str struggling after that but it took only 10 minutes for them to come back and uh and and to to show that they are the they were the best team and and hard off to them because they they did the job and I think they they deserve to win overall I think France again wasn’t accurate offensively we saw mbappe at the last 10 minutes or 15 minutes had a clear chance and put the ball over the the Bob of high over um I I’m disappointed overall I’m disappointed with the by the performance because I I really thought that after the first goal something’s going to click and it never happened in fact it was the timing that equalized wasn’t it that from lino ma which I felt obviously kept Spain in the game and just kind of shifted that momentum yeah and I think Spain made France up their game today didn’t they from what we’ve seen they had to but that’s how good sort of Spain have been in this this tournament but I think the big difference was well one of the big differences was in product you know mbappe you know in final third and then B with his crosses you know not getting p in their post or not hting great crosses and the two end products from Spain were tremendous one from outside the box which was special but then the Dan ELO goal which eventually given to him came from just great skill sending CH many the wrong way and that was one of the big differences that yes Ben dominated the bulk of possession but they did have to defend and and and you know get some pressure to try and withhold but some of the football again was was fantastic and they are th thus far the best side in this competition yeah and I think that’s why from a neutrals point of view you’re happy to see Spain Advance yes he enjoyed the game today Spain were the better side I thought France were good in the second half mbapp missed a chance up and mcell missed a good header really headed it into the ground but the best team have gone through yet again the best team in the whole tournament I’ve rolled on I’ve beaten teams have been impressive individual players the two Wingers of course faban Ruiz again today rodri again today holding them together they just look a really good outfit don’t do the the Spanish national team they deserve to be in the final they deserve to be favorites in the final and we’ll let see who’s going to join them uh you’re let’s talk about linum m 16 years of age what a strike that was oh my Lord what a what a strike that was to open up your account in the European Championship it’s unbelievable I mean it was probably the best first half H or 45 minutes we’ve seen of this European Championship the first half in this game today was fantastic I mean France started well obviously it looked like empa is back you know does the assist for goani and they go up at one nil and then this strike comes and uh yeah you just wonder now how many of those kind of goals will we see in the near future by lamin yamal I mean what what what is this kid now doing the next couple of years uh but it was was absolute Beauty it was uh uh so much fun to watch second half things cool down a little bit but unfortunately France couldn’t kind of U yeah come back in that game they you could see that little pieces were missing in their game the way T Hernandez know missed his chance that those or even mppe five minutes before the end you know usually he places that in the corner you know he he put it high above the goal those are things that you usually don’t see by especially by kilan and I think you know it’s well deserved for Spanish side that overall so far in this tournament as you guys said know it’s the best team and deserves to be in the final no doubt about it it’s not just the uh we talked about it before the competition started it’s not just the fact that they’re great on the ball and they’re exciting going forward it’s the fact that their defense which we all looked at before it started and yeah not sure about this is actually had held up pretty well you know Navas comes in does a job for caral get a yellow card early as well why did France not just keep stuffing the ball down mbappe’s throat and say run run yeah when you have na 30 old you say on your yellow card say why do you try to trick him you just push the ball and run because you’re going to be faster than him I don’t know is I think as a French maybe as a French former player I can see that some players don’t do simple things and the simple things are the hardest stuff to do in football so when you have an opponent who can cannot run and can cop with your your pace use it and that’s that’s what it was but I think so many players in that team weren’t at the the level we were expecting them to be and they were much below and in in comparison in the contrary the Spanish team curella the first you know against demele he would we would have thought he would struggle and he was better uh the Spanish team is very funny because Real Madrid had the same problem all season long defensive uh players missing because of injury and they they cope with the situation very well and the the the the center backs whoever played were good L Norman wasn’t there so naturo play and Vivian after came on and it was okay Laport did the job as well everything was Pon really and there is nothing to say about uh Spain I think there are a lot to say about the level of the French players individually um I think Des sh might be responsible for the the selection that he made and the players who should have played that and we’re going to be all um coaches of the national team now and say oh he should have done that he should have done that he’s the one who decided we have to judge overall and in his old career he did well but I think he missed the spot at some point with that with that with those choices and that’s sad for France but it is what it is it’s football you have to accept to that you play diing the better team they’re well coached that Spanish team aren’t they yeah you know when you talk about your here I don’t have time to work with my players international football I didn’t have time to work on this and here’s a guy that’s working has worked with youngsters most of his life coming up working with some Superstars and they’re all buying into it they’re all buying into it and it’s not always about 60 and 70% possession where which it used to be it’s more about defending a little deeper and hitting on the counter it’s been it’s been really good to watch from a Spanish perspective and the difference with France is is that the Spanish have been kind of on an even kill most of the way most of the way through the way they’ve performed they’ve had a little dip here and there whereas the French have been slowly slowly and then they had to pick it up today which they did but he just felt that was just a bridge too far for them jgen how impressive is it what the the Spanish coach has done in changing the style of play because we think back to the World Cup where they was so hard to watch it was just sideways stuff but as Craig said it seems that everyone’s impressive what he’s done in such a short period of time it’s it’s fun to watch the Spanish team it’s not about Tik taka it’s not about just passing it’s it’s it’s going here and there direct you know looking into Morata or whoever plays up front uh finding a way immediately to um to score and they entertained us they really entertained us so far and what the coach has done dramatically well is that almost all of the players uh are on the highest level they’re between 90 100% going there’s nobody going underneath 80% you know which in that French team you can argue there were some that performed well throughout the tournament and then some they never reached the level that they used normally normally to reach and this is a big difference you know you have two or three players not reaching their maximum at least 90 95% you you’re not going to the final and uh so it’s very very balanced throughout the entire Spanish team the performance side and this is this is definitely the Merit of of the coach Dano once again key as he was obviously when he came on against Germany lovely play for that second goal yeah and you wonder you know prior to the uh pedri injury whether he would have been on the pitch as much as he has been he was excellent in the last game he was excellent again today was a lovely goal as as Craig said the way he controlled the ball and then flipped past CH man he was was fantastic I’m glad he got the uh the ufer eventually gave him gave him the goal because he deserved it with his with his play but they’ve been wonderful haven’t they you know we’ve we’ve spoken about the Wingers we’ve spoken about the Defenders today it’s about oh Carval can’t play Lim no man can’t play but actually doesn’t matterz Navas came in did a good enough job nacho ended up playing Center defense and ended up going to right back when when Vivian came on they all just chipped in didn’t they and in the end they you know they they stood and and they um and they achieve what they wanted to do it’ be interesting to see the selection now for the final yes Danny caral You’ expect to come back and it’s who’s going to play in Center Center defense does nacho deserve to play or will l l Norman come right back in to say [Laughter] to Spanish name all the time yeah very strange Spanish name with the other with the other French Spaniard even the the frailties that there were at the back obviously hezus Navas coming in Kaja out Nao then coming in playing a right back that’s going to add to the disappoint was there because there is that vulnerability there that France should have taken advantage of yeah but it’s due maybe to the Spanish the way they cope with the situation and work all together and don’t forget that when you play on the side and the Trent Alexander was a perfect example when he was playing alongside Anderson and uh I think I forgot it was was a center back at the time for Liverpool they were they were coping with that situation they were helping him and um and it’s what Spanish the the Spanish did do with rotary on the right side and and and today you are natural coping and helping covering Navas that’s how it works it’s a collective sport you cannot isolate somebody and say oh it’s Navas against mbapp it’s never Navas against mbapp because mbappe knows that as soon as he gets the ball people they going to come close to Navas The Defenders and the and the and the midfielder to help him out and that’s what it work that’s how it works that’s football how it works so yes it’s disappointing because they didn’t use their best friends French wise but um again the Spanish do they did their job and when they had the chance to change something they missed it andz right foot M right foot as well opo header that would have changed the game and uh and they would have changed the the result so but it it is what it is football is like that and it’s all it’s full of details that you can talk about after and that you have to resolve at the present time but it’s um I think overall there is nothing to be disappointed in the French time because we were bad you know that’s disappointing yeah that’s disappointing overall you’re bad the French the French was slightly better than England so far and now they’re out yeah yeah but with the talent level that they’ve got and the argument is that they have the best Squad going into this tournament yeah but when you take individuals you say yeah France and England are the best and it’s why they were the favorites before the competition but you have to prove it yeah they they have to days and and they didn’t they proved that they were solid defensively but they had a lack of creativity offensively and that’s the same for for the english team and um and the others they move forward they work with their with their strength and their weaknesses as well but overall if you’re are more connected you prove that football is played by 11 and even more players and not big individual who can make the differ it happened with Messi during the World Cup where Messi was great but with alongside all the players working for him otherwise it doesn’t work so when they’re beating damps with this big stick you know which when happen there’s plenty of big sticks and France waiting for the when he goes back so we’re in the criticizing him where where have the friends gone wrong team selection Personnel tactics is mbappe getting a pass because he broke his nose and that’s an excuse cuz he didn’t have a great tournament did he no no he didn’t he didn’t he he tried to play without the MK today he existed like for 15 minutes great yeah but after he disappeared so I don’t know what happened Argentina don’t win before they win World Cups Messi gets panned yeah and it’s all his fault and it’s nothing about the rest of the players generally which is wrong but that’s how it’s been yeah is what’s mbapp getting when he goes no he’s going to be hammered I mean he’s going to be hammered by because the fans they maybe they maybe have the right to be disappointed but they don’t know the football the way we know and we can experience it but I think they they’re going to be disappointed because he only scored one goal he had one assist it’s not enough for mbappe yes and uh that it is what it is and we put that guy such a big high level think that he’s maybe the the best player at his position in the world uh but uh but you have to prove it and every and it’s been like before even his injury it’s been like two three months that he’s been struggling so is it because he signed for Real Madrid hopefully for him in Madrid is going to be better than that but there is a concern about him but there is a concern also about the team selection uh desan decided to play with chamini K and rabio maybe it was May another possibility kaminga was also is a Champions League winner I just remind people um you have another possibility jiru maybe should have played before marus Chan wasn’t good mbappe wasn’t good um you should have tried something else I think U but again it’s easy to say after um and we don’t know what’s going on in the dressing room but um yeah I was I had question marks about the center back especially Pico but he did quite well there is nothing much to say uh uh in that matter but overall it’s not the level that I was expecting offensively from France the soon as the sooner mbappe gets to Madrid and plays under a proper manager a huge Club in a big league yeah fighting for all the major titles and away from this circus and maybe that’s taking some of his f this I’m staying I’m leaving now I’m going then maon got involved at one point that was that was that was a year or two ago try to put some pressure on and then he was giving press conferen about I’m resigning because this is a project when we all know it was nonsense florentin he was lucky Florentino peris and real again came back in and were patient because he put a big Custer pie in their face and he’s I think he’s just got to get away from this circus that he’s been and I’m not saying Real Madrid isn’t a a circus but because Mar will tell you there’s a amazing amount pressure but go there and focus on your football and not all this s that’s a very good point you’re making and I think it’s it’s really time for him to get away from France because he’s being very criticized also because he gave his point of view about the elections you know how people had to vote and which side they had to vote and people get upset with him so he had a big pressure from France so they say Okay instead of giving to your to your point of view in about the election just score goals and play for friend that so there is a big pressure is really time for him away to be a little bit erased on French memories and and enjoy your Spanish time and enjoy mad country do you agree I I think you know when you put yourself into the mindset of kilan mppe coming out of a year very very difficult year with Paris s his last one obviously because he had an eye on Real Madrid the entire year you wanted to deliver your your people and your fans the Champions League which didn’t work out you know every everybody’s used to that Paris wins the the French Championship every year um and and then you come into the tournament and you break your nose and and you know you’re not 100% and uh these tournaments they when they come along every two years you know European Championship or cup America and then the World Cup obviously they’re all about timing they’re all about timing and they uh players they are really really good in that they know when to kind of step it up and and be sharp at at 100% when there’s a tournament call up and then other players they struggle and they cannot call it like you know Marcus Duram was not the Marcus we saw throughout the year at Inter Milan as an option for example as as the center forward in the French team and others as well so for for Kean and Pape I really hope that you know get a little bit of a vacation and then you know reboot your system reboot your system in in a place that is obviously an amazing Club to play for one of the best in the world and and you are not under the eye of your French people that you know always demand the maximum the maximum the maximum of killane and I think it it shows all this chance that he had today in 85th minute when he cut inside he came and this is normally it’s 99.9% of a goal for kilan mppe he places it or in a in a short corner or in in the in the second on the second post and and he just kind of hit it high above the above the goal and and that showed me that he’s not there he’s not there in this tournament and that’s it’s a Pity but here in this case now the timing didn’t work out for him he learn he will learn out of that there’s no no doubt about it you know almost he won a World Cup already and did an amazing Another World Cup in Qatar but also these moments happen but it happened now at the wrong time for the French team it’s it’s maybe a lesson for everybody and especially the big players who play in their own country would they they receive a big big pressure where we can see that Jude Billingham not playing in England has been the best the best English player and uh and Messi is gone for a while you know Ronaldo is gone to also a Spanish team no big star they play in their own country like that they are released about the passion and the the pressure that your own fan can can can make and it’s why I think it’s really the time as Jan say to for for kilan to go to Spain and reboot and refresh himself and maybe forget about the French because yeah we we demand a lot because for the for a long time after zizu we didn’t have a player like him so of course all the passion goes for it and the pressure is high you mentioned Zuzu he’s gonna take over now from Des Des Stan do you think he has a a year contract or two years contract left I think and that would be a question with Mr jallo the president of you think up if you were Mr D would you say I would say yeah it’s maybe a time to try something else maybe was also for some players I I think you say sack did the Edition sck no no no I would never say that because I know that some more sorry will say something in the social network no I think if he wants to stay in the jallo is Happy why not but it might be the time and I think the the pressure going to be big for to to see zizu coming on and and and taking on taking on the addition situation so I really think that zizu will be good I really wish wish him the best and and if has to has to go we have to say thank you because since 2012 he brought us to many many finals and good results so he did the job but it’s not it’s not the fact that they lost in the semi-finals to the best team in the tournament it’s the style of football I think I think people have been waiting for that time to come to to jump maybe on the on on this situation because everybody was happy with the result but not with the performances and the style of football so because you didn’t win they can say okay please please get rid of that guy because now we want a real football I don’t know what zizu is going to do if zizu takes takes on but uh yeah that’s going to be a different era
