Shaw plays for Manchester United, many of whose players behaved in exactly the same way after beating Coventry City on pens in the FA cup semi-final. Coventry had a late late winner ruled out by VAR and the Man Utd players knew they had got out of jail. Good to see this classy behaviour.

Whenever I played rugby we were always told to shake hands with an opposition player just after the end. I was wondering why football players always go to their own…..in most cases

Reminds me of a time at school when our rugby team played (and lost heavily) to another local school. Rather than running off to celebrate at the end of the match, they formed a tunnel and clapped every single one of us off the pitch. It was great!
