    Portugal await France in the Quarter Finals in Hamburg. Monumental game. Winners face the winner of Spain vs Germany, a game equally as big. Same as Spain vs Germany, you could argue that the winner of this one is the potential favourite to go on and win the whole thing. Portugal come into this one having topped Group F with 6 points, after winning two and losing shockingly to Georgia. They defeated Slovakia in the Round of 16
    on penalties to get through to this point. France’s group didn’t go anywhere close to what was expected of them. France came 2nd in Group C, they won 1 and drew 2, only finishing a single point above Netherlands and finishing below the surprise package that is Austria. A HUGE game!

      Portugal have two first team player who are in their 40s, that has to work against them in some way. I doubt that will fly against France.

      I think Portugal is a better squad, but France are due a good game.
      So, I unfortunately have side more with France (I need a shower.)…
      Very even and I hope Portugal win, they've certainly got the experience.

      France had three quick yellows against Belgium, nonsense.
      And then you watch Portugal and Palinha isnt shown a deserved yellow that woud have taken out of this game, Ronaldo is gifted a penalty and so on.
      Keep an eye on the refs and VAR for this one.

      This may be the match where France comes alive. The big thing is that you cannot play both Thuram and Griezmann. The former has no goals in him and the latter is missing that attacking spark that made him special. I would prefer a Mbappé/Kolo/Dembélé front three. Kolo really brought the first signs of life against Belgium and I think he needs to be a part of the rotation.
