I know this sounds a bit mad but could Austria win the Euros cuz they’re really good and we’ve seen unlikely winners in the past Denmark Greece even Portugal sort of counts and all those sides had something in common an extremely defensive style of play they sat deep in a block to straight their opponents waited for mistakes and relied on set pieces and moments of individual Brilliance but Austria are different cuz Ralph ragn that same Ralph ragn you remember from man united has turned Austria into a pressing machine it’s basically the opposite of The Underdogs who won in the past rather than sit and wait for mistake they try and force them and this proactive tactic leads directly to opposition errors and turnovers which allows Austria to control games but pressing like this drains energy and it is risky which is why towards the end of each half you often see them dropping a bit deeper to try and hit teams on the Counterattack and they also don’t really have an individual star to rely on either but that is because the star of this team is actually just the team basically it’s not luck they topped a group with the Netherlands and France in it maybe this Ralph ragnet guy knows some stuff after all so
