hello ladies and gentlemen today I will be giving you my quarterfinal predictions for Euro 2024 definitely on paper these matchups are a lot tougher to predict than the round of 16 I’ll leave it right here how much I got right for the round of 16 I’m actually recording this a bit earlier before all the matches end because I need time to edit but I’ll be talking about what happened in each of those as well also subscribe if you’re new for more Euro content anyway let’s get into it starting off with a banger it’s simple as that this match should be a final Germany versus Spain out of all the favorites on paper in this competition these two sides have been playing the best both of them topping their group Spain doing so flawlessly in one of the most difficult groups Germany still very impressive displays just drew at the end of Switzerland who are also at this quarterfinal stage the Germany match against Denmark was more in question with that very narrow offside call for Anderson following that straight after he gave away a penalty for Germany to take the lead regardless I think Germany still showed the strong suits in that match ruer was very impressive at some moments he’ll be a tough task to deal with for the Spanish attackers Tony Cruz’s experience and vision is providing a lot for the national team the youngsters on the team vers and musal are definitely stepping their weight throughout the competition but the youngsters on Spain are as well yamal and Williams have been some deadly Wingers throughout the Euros Georgia had the lead in their match in the round of 16 at one point but Spain responded back in style scoring four four goals Williams being on the score sheet yamal providing some crucial assists Fabian Ruiz has been one of the best players throughout this tournament so far kuku’s Revival has been unreal both sides are playing with so much passion and chemistry truly this match is a flip of a coin I have no idea what to decide again based on how both sides are playing right now they are both very deserving to make it to the final at least so whoever does win this best of luck to them in the future sure Germany are the host so maybe their fans will come out with more passion in this match and all the sides have not performed to the same degree as Germany in this tournament Spain already defied that logic as Croatia and Albania also technically have some host advantage in Germany with the amount of people living there from these nations and they were able to defeat them both in the group stage Germany did score more goals than Spain but Spain were playing their second team against Albania truly I don’t know what to say all I want to give is praise to both of these national teams for having such a tremendous campaign so far but if I got to pick one to advance to the semi-finals I am leaning towards Germany it will be an entertaining match regardless with some beautiful football and I’m saying it finishes 2-1 it’s been a joy to watch them both though so whoever does advance best of luck in the future moving on now to Portugal vs France a final that before this tournament began many people were predicting to happen not to be the case anymore obviously they have to face each other much earlier on but I would have to say that it’s the complete opposite of what I’ve been saying about Germany Spain Germany and Spain have been so impressive throughout the tournament like I mentioned a million times Portugal and France France have not been let’s start off with France they have yet to score a goal from open play without it resulting in an own goal yep two of their goals have been own goals and one has been an mbappe penalty against Poland that draw against Poland had them finish second place in this group with Austria advancing to first grant face Belgium in the round of 16 obviously where those underwhelming performances continued one on goal scored there from bongan but yeah a battle between underwhelming versus underwhelming there as well as Belgium only scored two goals in the group stage against Romania and it’s really shocking considering the amount of talent France possess of course they still did the job making it to the quarterfinals but it really is a question mark if they are the favorites of this competition anymore given how they’ve been playing once they have to face either Germany or Spain it might be doubtful for them unless they pick themselves back up and Portugal as well with so much quality of course before this tournament began they were deemed to be one of their favorites especially with their Euro qualifier campaign cruising through all those teams Ronaldo had some incredible performances there as well but at this tournament not so he look deemed to break the record as the oldest goal scor ever at the euros and he has yet to get a goal he had a perfect opportunity to break it when they fac lvania as Portugal earned a penalty late into the match but he missed it and yeah the match finished nil nil went to penalties Ronaldo redeemed himself there but only just and dieago Costa was the hero for Portugal stealing all black soul before the shootout honestly that was one of the most intense nil nil matches I’ve watched Slovenia could have easily gone up but shesko sold it I knew from the start it was going to be a close match but I truly think Portugal got a Lifeline there with shesko Miss no matter what though they deserve to go through Diago Costa incredible performance even shutting down shesko on that one-on-one in the group stages they just scraped through against Czech Republic in the dying minutes beat turkey 3-0 but their opposition played a questionable lineup and then lost to Georgia 2-n but yes Portugal did not play their strongest lineup it’s just simple both these sides should be expecting a lot more with the talent they possess attacking Wise from them both it’s just not been enough and it’s another flip of a coin I’d say based on how both of them are playing let’s also not forget that this match happened in Euro 2016 with very different squads of course but it was the final and Portugal won 1 n in extra time again one where I would not be surprised if I’m wrong whatsoever but I am leaning towards France this time around I think they have what it takes to get a 1 nil Victory against Portugal but if this match does go to penalties I am going to lean towards Portugal I think Diago cost has just built a lot of confidence there regardless my prediction stands for 1-0 France but best of to Portugal moving on to the other side of the bracket I’m going to start off with England versus Switzerland this one is going to be very very interesting England along with some of the other teams I mentioned France Portugal Belgium even Italy they have all been underwhelming given their standards England’s group stage performance despite topping their group was very much questioned one win and two draws and then they just scraped through against Slovakia where Slovakia were 1- nil up for most of the match until Jude bellingham’s phenomenal bicycle kick in the 95th then as soon as extra time began Harry Kane scored we nearly saw a repeat to England’s heartbreak in 2016 as Slovakia yes they are one of the biggest underdogs in this tournament in fact England have only played underdogs so far in this tournament apart from Denmark slovania have not gone their first Euro win at all and they’ve played in two tournaments so far this was Serbia’s debut and yeah they nearly fumbled against Slovakia as well three country flags that many Americans mix up England really just scraped through here and it’s truly shocking given the amount of talent they possess Southgate his tactics are 100% questioned and rightfully so not selecting the best possible starting 11s talking about how he misses Calvin Phillips without even selecting him in the preliminary Squad playing boring tactics that don’t give his electric players the chance to shine and relying on those type of Jude Bellingham moments it could haunt them against Switzerland who have been very impressive so far Switzerland finished their group undefeated drawing with Italy and Scotland and beating Hungary and then they went on in the round of 16 to outclass Italy they heavily expose Italy’s flaws they’re beating them 2-n and very much could take advantage of a questionable England side at the moment based on the way they’re playing right now Switzerland will be England’s toughest opponent so far but maybe England can produce some kind of Southgate magic to just Advance over Switzerland the furthest Switzerland have ever made it in the Euro competition is the quarterfinals their first time doing it being in the last tournament so they’re looking to make history here and they very much have what it takes we already know those classic players throughout the years turn up and competitions like this shakiri and I still think Jaca rise is not talked about enough he had a phenomenal performance against Italy and I would say is one of the most underrated players in this competition to me this match will finish 2-1 for England potentially going to extra time as well I just think Southgate has what it takes to get some luck on his side to advance to the semi-finals but the way England are playing I would 100% not be wrong to see Switzerland make it to the semi-finals for the first time in their history I do think Switzerland are playing more convincing football but I just do See England finding away at the end head-to-head their record is definitely one-sided England have beaten Switzerland 19 times Switzerland have won three times so we’ll see if Switzerland can defy the odds they definitely have what it takes this time around but I’m leaning towards England and the final match we’re looking at Netherlands versus third GE as you can see I’m recording this on a new day as prior I was waiting for both of these sites to complete the round of 16 fixtures my predictions from the round of 16 were looking okay until both of these sides were Crown Victorious I predicted the Romania upset against the Netherlands but Netherlands absolutely outclassed them 3-0 obviously not the popular pick but technically I just went for the wrong upset turkey beating Austria obviously isn’t an upset on paper but a ridiculous amount of people are baking on Austria to go far in this tournament after their incredible group stage display but turky doing what they do best come out when people least expect it and they have now Advanced to the quarterfinals looking to make it to the semis they 100% have what it takes to defeat the Netherlands in fact the head-to-head record between these sides is pretty even Netherlands with six wins four four draws and four losses the last time these sides faced each other win the World Cup qualifiers where both of them grabbed a win Turkey were able to grab four goals against the Netherlands but then the Netherlands did score six against turkey at their home ground let’s break down each of the round of 16 victories first starting off with the Netherlands yeah obviously they proved me wrong and the first time I predicted the Netherlands to lose incorrectly they have defeated Romania 3-0 Bravo to them they definitely stepped up the gear in that match absolutely dominated throughout the 90 minutes it could have been much more goals but Romania’s defense was Hanging On by a thread for most of the match just conceding that one early goal from Cody gako who has been on absolute fire in this tournament but then the two late goals they really just seemed Romania’s defense fell apart Netherlands show their dominance their creativity as well in that match they definitely outplayed the Romanians but they definitely cannot lose sight in the quarterfinals now because turkey have proven that they can upset this side and not only that they have proven to be once again a moment’s type of Team where they can easily frustrate the Netherlands and also turkey have a lot of informed players at the moment that have just built some confidence going into this match ver kadogo was fantastic against Austria their Defender deir as well scoring two goals as a center back and also making 17 clearances in that match who would have thought that he would have more goals than mbappe and Harry Kane by now eventually towards the end of the match I think turkey somewhat lost their footing but they still relied on those Beautiful Moments shout out to their goalkeeper mirth who made that fantastic save in the dying seconds turkey once again showing that they’re just too unpredictable they have played with so much life in this match against Austria and of course a huge play out so that is their incredible fan base turkey without a doubt have had the best fans at Euro 2024 and with this match being played in Berlin you know they’re going to go all out this side along with Germany have home field advantage and sure the Netherlands are the favorite on paper but let’s not rule out this side they are familiar to having deep runs in this competition they’ve made it to the semi-finals before in 2008 now despite the Netherlands getting a clean sheet against Romania I still think the defense is showing their flaws of course on paper there’s too much talent on here but as a unit they are not as compact tury have also shown their flaws defensively at moments I know I just plays the and kogu but they haven’t kept a clean sheet so far in any single match but to be honest I’m not surprised about that turkey just love to play their attacking football and that’s why I think this match will be high scoring for both sides this would be an incredible Redemption Arc for turkey after so many people thought they would be the dark horse in the last year old tournament and they absolutely flopped they’re coming back in style in this one so I’m rooting for them truly but I do think the Netherlands will just Edge them here I am going for 32 for the Dutch I definitely don’t see why turkey could not do this but again they’re just too unpredictable I have no idea what’s going to happen here definitely more 50/50 of a match than it really seems on paper but I am leaning towards the Netherlands good luck to turky anyway guys those are all of my Euro
