What should the USMNT do to get ready for the 2026 World Cup?

If i have to be honest, as a non-american viewer of this show (huge fan of football),
the United States are really overrated, i don't even think its underachieving, they're simply not that good.
I think the media in the US is overhyping them way too much.
Underachieving would be England for example. With players that are all in major teams that plays for big tournaments like the champions league.

but to win copa or the world cup, you don't just need good players, you need very good, great, world class players
pulisic and mckennie, if i have to compare to nba players, is like having collin sexton and miles bridges, they're good players, but far from winning a title.
if i was honest about which teams i felt are better than the US in just copa (not world cup), i would have brazil, argentina, uruguay, columbia, ecuador, mexico, canada and chile ranked above them, and even compared to the remaining, they aren't heads and shoulders above them.

These board members are responsible for guiding the strategic direction and governance of U.S. Soccer.
Changes need to be made at the top if these losers can't put together an ambitious, visionary plan to capture this country in 2 years. We need to pay more than a measly $2M for a Men's National Team coach that is well below market-rate for a top-tier manager.

Typical American Arrogance. We are the best at everything why isn't our money producing the best Soccer team in the world???? That is such an American Mindset we are the biggest and have the most money so we should be the best. There is a culture a lifestyle in other countries that is so much bigger than nice locker rooms and money. Uruguay has around 6 million people but futbol is everything to them and playing for their country is everything. American Athletes like the US ok "I guess" but are they weeping like Ronoldo when they miss a PK? The passion is exponentially lower than other "Soccer" countries. Don't worry our BB brats are going to lose in the Olympics and our age of dominance in basketball is over too. We can't just bank roll the passion and belief that Uruguay who have a huge Italian population like 40% btw. We are being humbled on many fronts unfortunately.

US Soccer doesnt care about winning or growing the sport. Gregg is their yes man and I believe that US Soccer is only concerned about using the World Cup to try and promote MLS and Apple Subscriptions. The problem with soccer in the States is you have to be extraordinarily rich to get on and stay on the youth teams that develop talent. They're traveling teams with big expenses and big entry fees. We exclude a lot of kids.
