  1. I was so excited that United are linked with De Ligt, Branthwaite and Zirkzee until I discovered one of them didn't make his country's Euro team, and the other two haven't played a minute despite being fit.

  2. I agree with AJ here – i also don't want to compare him with maguire but I don't see the point in having both of them in the squad. he's a much better version of maguire but I still think we need a todibo type cb.

  3. Average wide channel defender

Not suitable to play in highline

So passive which attracts more attacks

    Not a good buildup defender

    Sometimes caught positioning in box

  4. I disagree with the comparison with Maguire (and btw, I think Maguire is underrated). I think Maguire in one on one defense is better and he's also better in the air, but the Ligt is better capable of a high line defense and in posession he's much better. What makes the key difference imo, is that he will make himself available for Onana to receive first pass and progress the play. He is excellent high volume passer (short passes, not long ones). This would be the last year to cash in on Maguire, so I would sell him. I am unsure De ligt is a good idea, but mostly because of injuries concerns.

  5. i think the plan was buy CB that doing aerial, have speed but also good on the ball, thats why our first target was Branthwaite and Todibo, but both go downfall so what that is more needed? i think especially if Casemiro go, our starting 11 is quite short, i think De Ligt get us the most with the money but if we really gonna buy another CB i'll take someone like Calafiori with pace and very good to progress the ball and also can play as LB to cover both Martinez and Shaw, even rotate with them

  6. Brother if you could do a rating of his potential and current and expected level ability it would be much better for instance if you think deligt can be one of the best center backs of his generation then give a 75-79 rating and if you think he will surprass his generation and erans comparison with other generation then 80-84 and if you think he will be one of the greatest center backs of all time then give him 85+ rating it would be a much better insight

  7. De Ligt is not as good as Varane in any category tbh. So… it looks we are paying alot for a player that is worse than the one that was let go for free. INCLUDING WAGES!

  8. De Ligt is 10 times better than Branthwaite who failed in Dutch league and hasn't done wonders in PL, I don't know why were we even trying to buy him, De Ligt's only problem is his wages

  9. United fans are overthinking this… let's get the man in… he'll be great for us. 🙄 … injuries happen, build a squad! Like we always have done and now sit and watch City with two Starting 11s 😒😒
    De Ligt will be mint

  10. my worries are not buying players but selling instead why aren't we start selling players like Casemiro or sell at least one defender before buying one

  11. You actually said that Martinez is not good in the air 😂 … stop drinking the Koolaid… in his last Eridivisie season he topped the division in aerial duels despite his height … and I'm his first session at United, no other defender did better… so no, Licha is definitely not poor in the air. He makes up for his height (which is actually 5'10" 🧐) by positioning and timing as well as a seriously good leap.

  12. what if INEOS are banking on winning the case with the court of arbitration and the system for next season could be a back 3? it’s not likely but possible, and de ligt martinez and todibo at the back would be amazing

  13. De Ligt and Josh and Ugarte seems like the weakest window in quite some time I’m not much hype on any maybe Ugarte soo hard to tell since he plays for the best team in a very underwhelming league

  14. This would be United their first topplayer in the squad. Quality is more important then profile. Thereby Martinez is for the build up and De Ligt is for the defense and the physical.

  15. For the first time am i will not agree with you on this because for me I believe De ligt is far far far better than harry Maguire he is a world class player but Maguire is not…. the only issue he got is that he chose a wrong club at first wen he chose to go to Juventus he was in a different style of play which wasn't fit for him…he had to go mancity, Barcelona, liverpool, baryern before tuchel etc but he chose a wrong club on the first site

  16. I just shiver that next season we will be having deglit&margure… both slow & heavily built OR back to Maguire & Evans because deglit&martinaz are injury prone… it looks like this season injuries taught us nothing

  17. If i can give you some advice, there´s a bit of echo in your sound, don´t know if its mike quality or the room. Re the content, amazing keep up man.

  18. Don't watch him that much, can he be a Varane replacement?. He was bought as a Varane replacement. If he can fulfill that role and stay fit, than it is a good transfer.

  19. "Lisandro Martinez quite poor in the air"?? I don't know if the only football you watch is on stats pages because that's a damn lie. I give you he's not a heading monster like Maguire but he's certainly not "poor" and I've seen him win many headers when up against players much taller than him. I've played football myself for 25 years and watched football on TV since the 70'ties and I've seen many players who are quite poor at heading like myself – but Martinez is certainly not one of them in spite of his height.

  20. @AjAnalysis great content as always. Main debate in the comment section is :
First – whether is a better signing than brainthwaite.
Second- whether he runs a risk of being injury prone.

Martinez has missed more games in one season than Delight in three seasons. And yet martinez is not injury prone. He faces recurring injury on same location of his body same to deligt and thus can be managed through change of technique or shift of body weight. It shouldn't be aa worry.

Im his comparison with brainthwaith…deligt brings immense experience in the team given that he has played in the top clubs that are in the top leagues of the world sheds light also to his leadership and mentality. The locker room needs this type of personality against challenging big teams like man city. Brainthwaith is far below him in this respect. And skills too, delight is the most preffered in build up and tactical flexibility.

  21. I don't think we have enough money if we need another defender and DM and a ST if we were to sign him. (2x CD – one to replace Varane & one to replace Maguire)
U said no for De Ligt so I'm curious to know who u had in mind instead?

  22. He's maguire 2.0 all be it with less mistakes. But the pace is still the same issue and on to that injury it's a poor singing. We need to stay away from unathletic defenders. Plus the signing has ETH fingerprints all over it and the less said about that the better😅

PS aj claiming he has recovery pace when he's not even a step faster than maguire😂 😂😂
