  1. I think now would be a good time to reflect on West Ham’s Canadian links over the years. Craig Forrest was a solid back up ‘keeper for many seasons. Alex Bunbury had a brief handful of games in the 90s before achieving success in Portugal. And Doneil Henry lasted a few training sessions under “Big Sam.” But certainly, the longest association with the Maple Leaf is Karren Brady. She’s had a little Canadian in her for decades now. After all, former Birmingham City and Canadian striker Paul Peschisolido is around five-foot-six?

  2. Craig Forest was in goal for Ipswich when I went to my first ever football match which was randomly Ipswich v Newcastle in 1995

  3. Craig is a top man, always liked him as a player and I'm pleased to see he's still extremely likeable and speaks well about the game. Let's have more Craig!

  4. This striker position is so important as moyes has cocked it up. As a east ender living in canada I can tell you david would be a huge risk. I don't see him fitting into the premier league. He would not be an upgrade on Antonio. He would quickly join the ranks of scamacca and Haller. In my opinion I think it's a huge risk and one we should not take.

  5. David's attitude seems exceptionally good. He will score goals. We need someone to make that CF spot their own. If he was to join today (and I was picking the team) I would probably opt to play one of him or Antonio LW and one as the 9, with Kudus as the 10 and Bowen as the RWer. We need to play with an inverted winger on the left next season. I can't watch us not getting the optimum out of Kudus next season. If we brought in a left winger as well, It would demote Antonio to the bench. We need to work around what we already have, in my opinion. I think if David signs, we need to get an inverted LWer as well to truly validate playing him as the out-and-out 9. David, a LWer (Wesley, Philogene, Summerville), Max Kilman for Aguerd, and a trade for Downes and KWP would be enough for me. I said this in the summer, I want attacking talent pumped into the side. The defensive side will be much better the minute we have a manager who doesn't insist on playing JWP.
